Count Your Blessings

It's New Year's Eve. Princess Kitty is feeling very reflective. She has had a nice day with people she loves. She has chatted to Growly Bear. He was a bit distracted because he was shopping. Shopping for food. Looking at the exciting packages and boxes always makes him a bit distracted.
Princess Kitty still felt all warm after talking to him. She purred all afternoon.

Princess Kitty has been counting her blessings. She has been thinking about all the wonderful people she knows and has in her life. She has been thinking how wonderful it is to really understand love. She has been thinking how wonderful Growly Bear is.

Princess Kitty is feeling very spiritual. She understands the point of guinea pigs tonight - at least for a few hours. She is going to reach out to Growly Bear at midnight. He is going to feel her touch on him. He is going to experience her warmth and taste her love for him. He is going to smell her sweet smell and feel her purr against his skin.

Happy New Year Growly Bear and Princess Kitty

Renegade Den

Growly Bear has had a busy day . He had some chores to do. He had to clean the floors at his cave. In between he played his guitar and watched football.

Princess Kitty has been busy too. She has started house hunting. She is looking for a home of her own to replace The Cardigan, which is only borrowed. She has s0me pictures of houses for sale and some writing about them. Today she has been driving around in her little Yaris finding out where they are and seeing if she would like to find out more.

Princess Kitty feels a bit strange looking for a home. She has never done such a thing before. She knows that she is choosing a special place for her and Growly Bear. It feels like a big responsibility. Princess Kitty reminds herself that responsibility is a part of growing up. She reminds herself that responsibility comes with guinea pigs.

Princess Kitty hopes she can find the right place. Somewhere she can call home and Growly Bear will like. It will be their renegade den.

Wonderful Day

Princess Kitty has had a wonderful day. A most amazing day. Growly Bear came to visit. Growly Bear's visits are always wonderful but today's was outstanding. He was the funniest and the kindest and the softest she has ever seen him. She felt so full of love for him she could have popped.

Another wonderful thing that happened today was that Princess Kitty's step girl kitten had a baby. It is a baby girl. Princess Kitty knows that her step girl kitten will be happy. She knows she wanted a little girl to be a little sister for the lovely little boy she has. Princess Kitty purrs with happiness for her step girl kitten and her family.

Princess Kitty thinks she has been lucky with her life so far. She has lots of love in it and a beautiful family and kind friends. Today though was definitely up there with those she will remember for the rest of her life.

Tricks and Stunts

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been window shopping. That does not mean they were looking for windows. Window shopping can be an important way to find out more about guinea pigs, especially when it is done together.

Today Princess Kitty and Growly Bear were looking at guitars. Electric guitars. Princess Kitty likes sexy colourful ones with pointy bits at the front. Growly Bear likes a more classic look. He especially likes ones with a wood effect.

Growly Bear already has an electric guitar. It is a Fender Stratocaster. Princess Kitty has not really heard him play it properly. He says he can do tricks and stunts on it. Princess Kitty thinks this sounds very impressive. Growly Bear says his tricks and stunts are not as good as his boy cub's though. Growly Bear says his boy cub can wring a guitar's neck. Princess Kitty thinks this sounds rather cruel and not something a vegetarian should approve of.

Growly Bear can do other tricks and stunts. He showed Princess Kitty a trick he could do with the new lighter she bought him. Princess Kitty thought his trick was quite good but that he probably needs to practise it a bit more. She did not tell Growly Bear this though as she thought it might hurt his feelings. Instead she opened her eyes wide and said "Wow!".

Super Duper Day

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have had a super duper day. That is Growly Bear's new word for when something is nice. Princess Kitty giggled into her paw when he first said it. She thinks it is one of the funniest thing he has ever said. Silly Growly Bear.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty shared presents. Then they made some special Christmas honey. Princess Kitty really got stuck in. Growly Bear says you can't make good honey without getting your paws dirty. Princess Kitty agrees. She is getting to like that nice sticky feeling.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty talked a lot today too. They talked about their love. They talked about music. They even talked a bit about the point of guinea pigs.

Princess Kitty bought Growly Bear a Beano annual. Growly Bear likes the Beano. He especially likes the Bash Street Kids. He likes reading about all those rough boys fighting. He thinks the Beano is super duper.

Beacon Of Hope

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are excited. Very excited indeed. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are going to have their renegade Christmas tomorrow. They know that for a few hours they will be in their own special world. They know too that they must return to reality and their search for the point of guinea pigs afterwards. For now though they are just looking forward to their time together.

Growly Bear will get up early and jump in his car. He has a borrowed car because his own little Skoda is not working. His borrowed car is orange. Growly Bear does not like it very much. Princess Kitty thinks he will look like a beacon coming out of the darkness to her. She thinks that will be a very welcome sight.

Princess Kitty will get up early and get The Cardigan ready. She will trim her fur and choose some nice clothes to wear. Then she will wait for Growly Bear. Waiting always seems such a long time. When Growly Bear arrives she will give him the most special cuddle in all the world.

Christmas Adventures

Growly Bear has had a Christmas adventure. Not a nice adventure though. Poor Growly Bear. His little Skoda broke down on the way to Christmas lunch at Mummy Bear's house. He and the bear he lives with and his two cubs were in the car. By the time they were rescued they were all very cold. Even Growly Bear's furriness wasn't enough to keep him warm. Poor poor Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty has had a nice day mostly. She awoke to two sweet and loving texts from Growly Bear. She made herself a nice breakfast of toast and her favourite butter made from goat's milk. She opened her six little presents under her pink tree. Her brother came round to see her and she had another present. She practised on her guitar. She is learning to play the introduction to "Michelle". Then she went out for a long walk with her friend, Chuckles. Chuckles is one of Princess Kitty's special friends. He has always been kind to her and they like to play tricks together sometimes. They like to make special trick drinks. They like making drinks that surprise people. Chuckles gave Princess Kitty some more presents. Princess Kitty gave Chuckles a book. The book had some information about the point of guinea pigs.

As for Growly Bear, although he had a bad start to his day, things got better when he got to Mummy Bear's house. He has not had chance to talk to Princess Kitty but he is looking forward to telling her all about it. Princess Kitty hopes this will be very soon.

Relax And Chill

It's Christmas Eve. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have been making their last minute preparations. Princess Kitty went shopping to buy some food. She hopes she won't need to go again for a few days. Growly Bear has been wrapping his presents. He has some special presents for Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty has some special presents for Growly Bear. She wonders who will give the funniest present. She thinks some of the ones she has for Growly Bear will make him laugh.

Princess Kitty has had a nicer day today. It started well with a lovely chat to Growly Bear on MSN. Her girl kitten came over for lunch and stayed and chatted. They talked about all sorts - from girlie stuff to guinea pigs. Then Princess Kitty saw her brother and then she went to visit some friends.

Growly Bear is starting to relax a bit too. He has been working hard and is finding it hard to unwind. And he is missing Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty hopes he will enjoy his time with his family. It is important time to strengthen his relationships and show his love to stand them in good stead for a difficult road ahead.

Growly Bear goes to sleep thinking about Princess Kitty. He is wondering if she is OK on her own at the Cardigan. He thinks she probably is. Princess Kitty looks around The Cardigan. She looks at her pink tree and thinks about how happy she is and how much she loves Growly Bear. She purrs quietly.

Countdown to Christmas

Princess Kitty has had a difficult day. It is nearly Christmas. She will be spending Christmas on her own. She knows this will not be easy but understands why it has to be this way. She knows she must be brave and believe there is a point to guinea pigs, even if she does not know what that is.

Princess Kitty's kittens will be spending Christmas with their dad. They live with him at the big house Princess Kitty left behind. They love Princess Kitty but they don't understand her new life. Princess Kitty knows it will take time for them to heal and forgive her for leaving.

Growly Bear is finding things difficult too. He will be spending Christmas with his family. He is looking forward to this but misses Princess Kitty. He wishes he could have the best of both worlds but knows he can't.

Growly Bear is going to visit Princess Kitty at the Cardigan after Christmas. They are going to have a renegade Christmas. Princess Kitty has made a special advent calender. One which counts down to their renegade Christmas. Only 86 hours left to go.

Rosy Glow

Growly Bear is feeling quite growly today. Like guinea pigs have their squeaks, Growly Bear has different growls for different occasions. He has a soft warm growl for when Princess Kitty is stroking his tummy. He has an excited growl for when they are making honey. He has a silent growl for when he is with Fatty Flatfoot. He knows it would be dangerous to let her see his growliness.

Today's growls are grumpy growls. Growly Bear is Christmas shopping. Growly Bear does not like Christmas shopping. He does not like Christmas shopping at all. He hates all the other animals pushing him about and he hates having to queue.

The only shopping Growly Bear likes is food shopping. He wishes he could buy everyone a nice salad for Christmas. He thinks they might not understand though.

Princess Kitty has been getting herself ready for Christmas too. She has bought herself a special treat. She has bought herself a Christmas tree. She is very proud of it. It is pink. Very pink indeed.

Princess Kitty thinks it is very beautiful and tasteful. She can't wait to show Growly Bear.

Hard Times

Growly Bear is tired. He has been working very hard. He has had a busy week. He has been busy serving the witch Fatty Flatfoot.

Growly Bear has had a busy day today. He got up and jumped into his little Skoda and drove to work. He popped into town to get some salad for a special lunch. Then he made the salad. Then he had the special lunch with other bears, which was a party. Then he read some bits of paper and did a few emails. Then he sent Princess Kitty some texts. Then he drove home and chatted to Princess Kitty about guinea pigs on his little Nokia.

Poor Growly Bear. What a difficult tiring day you have had.

Mixed Moments

Princess Kitty has had a strange day. She has been coming down after all the excitement of yesterday. Her feelings are all mixed up.

Growly Bear has gone back to his cave. Princess Kitty feels sad about that because she misses him. People have been telling Princess Kitty how clever she and Growly Bear are. Princess Kitty feels proud about that. It makes Princess Kitty have a nice feeling inside.

Princess Kitty had a nice letter from her step-girl kitten. It made Princess Kitty cry. The letter was a kind letter. Princess Kitty cried because she was happy and sad at the same time. Princess Kitty read the letter to Growly Bear. Growly Bear thought it was a nice letter.

When Princess Kitty has mixed up feelings days like this she thinks about guinea pigs. She thinks that although there are lots of things she doesn't understand about them there are things she has worked out. She knows that everything changes and things always look different in another moment. She knows that when she talks to Growly Bear she will feel better.

She thinks about how to change the moment when she is having sad thoughts. She wonders what Growly Bear would suggest. She knows what Growly Bear would say. He would tell her to make sure she ate properly. So she goes to the shop and buys a nice stir fry and cooks it and eats it. Delicious!

Rock 'n Roll Angels

They did it! Growly Bear and Princess Kitty performed together in public for the first time. They sang and played their guitars together in front of 800 people. Brave Princess Kitty. Brave Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty sang a solo. Then Growly Bear joined in in harmony. Princess Kitty felt the ground beneath her feet and sang with all her heart. She saw all the people looking and listening. She felt scared and excited and tiny and big all at the same time. As she sang she understood the point of guinea pigs. She couldn't explain it. She just felt it in her soul.

Growly Bear says Princess Kitty has the voice of an angel. Kind Growly Bear. Princess Kitty thinks Growly Bear might be an angel. She can't be sure though. She has peeked at his back when he is sleeping to see if she can see where his wings would fit. She couldn't see any marks. Perhaps Growly Bear has a spell to make them invisible.

Peas In A Pod

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are preparing. They have a very big day tomorrow. A very big day indeed. They are going to be performing in public. In front of lots of people.

Princess Kitty says she is feeling scared. She feels like a frightened little guinea pig. Growly Bear says he is not scared at all. Princess Kitty doesn't believe him though. She peeked at him when he thought she wasn't looking and caught a little tremble.

Growly Bear has come to The Cardigan for the night. They have been getting things ready. They put new strings on their guitars. They polished their guitars. They adjusted their straps. Growly Bear has even bought a new capo for the occasion. It is shiny and red. He is very proud of it. Princess Kitty thinks he should avoid using a pink plectrum with it though because the colours clash.

Princess Kitty is going to wear her new blouse. Growly Bear is ironing his ribbon. They will look smart. Everyone will say what a fine couple they make. Like peas in a pod.

Bury or Burn

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty met up on their skateboards today. It was quite cold and the roads were a bit wet so Growly Bear did not do any tricks. Princess Kitty thought this was very sensible.

Growy Bear and Princess Kitty do interesting things when they meet up like this. Today they walked around a graveyard and looked at the stones and wondered about the people whose names were on the stones. Princess Kitty told Growly Bear that she wants to be cremated when she dies. She thinks this is the most dignified way. Growly Bear says he does not really care. It is not something he has thought about. Princess Kitty smiles to herself. 'Just like a guinea pig' she thought. Although he is quite a tame bear most of the time Growly Bear still has his wild side.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty talked a lot. They talked about the difficult things they face in their lives. They can't solve each others problems, they can't live each others lives but they help each other by loving each other.

Princess Kitty loves Growly Bear very much. She thinks he is the most special bear in all the workd. Lovely Growly Bear.

Bear With A Sore Head

Growly Bear has a sore head. Poor Growly Bear. He thinks he has a sore head because he drank too much last night. Princess Kitty thinks he is probably right. Growly Bear is not thinking about guinea pigs today. His head is too sore.

Growly Bear wishes he was feeling better. He wishes in a way that he was with Princess Kitty so that she could look after him and make him feel better. On the other hand if she is feeling lively she might be boisterous and make a lot of noise when he wanted to be quiet.

Growly Bear likes Princess Kitty's livliness most of the times. Sometimes though he wishes she was a bit more subdued, like when they wake up after a night together. Growly Bear likes to wake up very slowly and gently and to cuddle quietly. Princess Kitty is usually wide awake when she wakes up and finds it difficult to stay still. Growly Bear says she is like a jack-in-the-box. He says she is like Tigger.

Princess Kitty likes to tease Growly Bear when he is sleepy like this. She likes to play tricks on him like opening his eye lids to see underneath and stroking him to see if she can make him growl. Naughtly Princess Kitty. Everyone knows it is bad to tease bears.

Princess Kitty decides to be helpful. She sends Growly Bear a text suggesting he drinks some orange juice then takes a long walk in the fresh air. Gowly Bear texts back "Growl".

Funny Old Thing

Growly Bear is at a posh party. It is a party where celebrities go. There will be all sorts of people there. Growly Bear says they are "the great and the good". Princess Kitty wonders if this means they know the point of guinea pigs.

Growly Bear is going to tell Princess Kitty all about it tomorrow. He will tell her what people were wearing. He will tell her about the people he spoke to. He will tell her the funny thoughts he had in his head.

Growly Bear often has funny thoughts. When he tells Princess Kitty about them he makes her laugh. Princess Kitty has funny thoughts too. She thinks about playing tricks and doing spells.

Growly Bear often tells funny stories. Princess Kitty thinks he is good at telling stories. She thinks he is good at finding 20 words to say something which could be said in 5. Princess Kitty likes Growly Bears stories. She likes hearing his funny thoughts. Funny old Growly Bear.

Poppetry

Growly Bear is a poppet. At least that is what Princess Kitty thinks. Princess Kitty thinks he is the kindest sweetest bear she has ever met.

For one thing Growly Bear is always kind. He has always been very kind to Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty knows that she is not the easiest person in the world. Growly Bear says she is complicated. But Growly Bear is always nice to her. He is always patient.

Another thing about Growly Bear that makes him a poppet is his thoughtfulness. He often buys Princess Kitty special little surprises. Princess Kitty loves surprises.

But the very best thing about Growly Bear is his kindness of spirit. He never puts others down. He always sees the potential in everyone and does everything he can to help them fulfil it. He always goes out of his way to tell people what they have done well and inspires them to face more challenges and believe in themselves.

Princess Kitty is sure kindness is a part of the point of guinea pigs. Growly Bear has natural talent when it comes to guinea pigs. He has a deep understanding of these important things. He is just simply a poppet.

A Very Nice Man

Princess Kitty has had an adventure. She has had to be rescued tonight. She was driving through some county lanes taking a short cut to go to a meeting. She ran out of petrol.

It was very dark but Princess Kitty was brave. First she locked all her doors. Then she rang the AA. Then she waited.

The AA man came about 40 minutes later. He had a big yellow van. The van had flashing yellow lights on the top. Princess Kitty thought this was very exciting. The AA man was really friendly. Princess Kitty thought he was a very nice man. A very very nice man. He put some petrol in her little Yaris for her. Princess Kitty said "Thank you".

Princess Kitty likes to be polite. Growly Bear says politeness is important and Princess Kitty agrees. Guinea pigs are not very polite. When you give them food they just eat it. They never squeak to say thank you.

Princess Kitty starts to think about how she will tell Growly Bear about her adventure. She wants him to be proud of her and tell her she was very brave and clever. She knows what Growly Bear will say. First of all he will be worried if Princess Kitty is OK. Then he will tell her all about consequential thinking. Princess Kitty reminds herself to be sure to nod a lot when he tells her about this. But then the worst thing of all will happen....................Growly Bear will tease her.

Princess Kitty does not mind being teased by Growly Bear. In fact she quite likes it. But Princess Kitty also likes to have the upper hand. She will have to think of a cunning plan................

Bossy Boots

Growly Bear has been visiting The Cardigan. He arrived in his little Skoda. His poor battered little Skoda.

Growly Bear has had a difficult day. He has had to boss people about. Growly Bear does not like bossing people about much. He likes to work with people in a way that means they agree things. Sometimes though you have to be in charge. It is the same with guinea pigs. Sometimes it is for their own good.

Princess Kitty tells Growly Bear that he bosses her about. He doesn't really though. Princess Kitty just likes to keep him on his toes. She likes to keep Growly Bear wondering sometimes.

Growly Bear would like Princess Kitty to boss him about more. It is one of his awake dreams. He wants her to boss him about wearing strict clothes and strict glasses. He would like her to punish him if he is naughty.

Princess Kitty thinks that maybe she needs to practise being bossy a little more. She will start tomorrow.

Result!

Princess Kitty has been playing tricks again. Tricks on Growly Bear. She didn't really mean to. It was sort of an accident.

Growly Bear is coming to The Cardigan tomorrow night to stay. Princess Kitty said she would cook him a meal. Growly Bear was quite pleased but a little bit worried too. Sometimes Princess Kitty can cook quite well but sometimes things can go a bit wrong. Growly Bear can never quite be sure what will happen. Unlike guinea pigs Princess Kitty can be a little hard to predict.

Princess Kitty went to the shop to buy the food. She was chatting to Growly Bear on her little Samsung when she arrived at the shop. And then she remembered that she had left her purse behind. Growly Bear said not to worry and that he would do the shopping. So Princess Kitty told him what she was planning to cook. And Growly Bear said that he would eat those things but only if he cooked some of them.

Princess Kitty told Growly Bear that he was very cheeky. What Princess Kitty was really thinking was that now she didn't have to go shopping and she had less cooking to do. Growly Bear felt glad that he could be certain of having a well cooked meal. Princess Kitty thought ............. "Result!"

Getting Things In Order

Princess Kitty has had another busy day. She has been having a good clean and tidy up at The Cardigan. She is pleased. Everywhere looks spic and span.

Growly Bear has been tidying up this weekend too. He has been sorting out his spare room. It was full of all sorts of things. He wonders about where it has all come from. He thinks about the clutter we accumulate. He thinks about how material things come and go. He think about what is really important in life. He thinks the most important thing are love and kindness.

Princess Kitty agrees with Growly Bear. She has moved from a big house with all the creature comforts to her her new little home. It is not a comfy as her big house but she is much happier there. She feels she can be the person she is there. She does not mind that The Cardigan in not perfect. It is perfect for her at the moment.

Sweet Freedom

Princess Kitty has been to see another band tonight. This time it was a band that has her friend Rupert Bear in.

Princess Kitty likes Rupert Bear. They were slaves together in Fatty Flatfoot's empire. They were both her lieutenants. Fatty Flatfoot treated Rupert Bear badly. Fatty Flatfoot treats everyone badly eventually, but especially guinea pigs and her lieutenants.

Princess Kitty noticed how much better Rupert Bear looks now that he is free from Fatty Flatfoot's slavery. She wishes she could free all the other slaves. She wishes she could gather together all the former slaves and invade her empire and set everyone free. Maybe one day.

Growly Bear has had a musical night too. He has been to a party. He has been listening to music. He has been playing his guitar and singing.

Growly Bear rang Princess Kitty up from his party as she was driving home in her little Yaris. Princess Kitty noticed that he did not quite sound his usual self. He had the giggles. Princess Kitty wondered if he had been trying special herbs again.

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear both like special herbs. They like to have them on special occasions, like parties and when they are making honey sometimes. They like the way it helps them feel relaxed and free.

Princess Kitty thinks freedom is one of the best feelings in the world.

Shake Rattle Rock and Roll

Princess Kitty has been out with her friends tonight. They went to see a band. The band was very good. Princess Kitty has got sore paws from dancing so much. She has got a sore throat from singing so much.

The band had lots of instuments. Princess Kitty paid special attention to the guitarists. They were both very good. Princess Kitty dreamed she was up there with them. One of the band had a tambourine. The tambourine was like the one that Princess Kitty bought for Poppy the Flower Fairy.

Poppy the Flower Fairy is Princess Kitty's friend. Princess Kitty and Poppy have lots of fun together. They listen to music together. They giggle a lot together. They tell each other their secrets. Poppy has got two guinea pigs. Princess Kitty teases her about this. Poppy says she knows the point of guinea pigs but she had never told Princess Kitty what this is. Princess Kitty thinks it is probably alright to tease Poppy. It is not like teasing bears, which everyone knows is bad.

Poppy likes her tambourine. It is a black one. Princess Kitty chose it carefully. There were lots of different colours. Princess Kitty liked the purple one best. But she knew Poppy would like the black one so that is what she bought her. And she did.

Princess Kitty says Poppy can be in her band when she is famous. She can shake and rattle her tambourine. Poppy thinks that would be rock and roll.

Missing

Growly Bear has been to visit Princess Kitty. They have not seen each other for a few days. They have missed each other. They have missed each other very much indeed.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have had a lovely evening. They have played and sung. They have had a nice meal. They have made some honey. Some spectacular honey.

Growly Bear has gone away again now though. He has to go back to his cave. Princess Kitty feels sad. She is missing him again already. She knows that Growly Bear misses her too.

Princess Kitty remembers the time she looked after a guinea pig for a friend. Her friend was going on holiday. Princess Kitty had never looked after a guinea pig before. She had never had one of her own. She could not see the point. Her friend's guinea pig got lost. Princess Kitty could not find it anywhere. She got very worried. Eventually though the guinea pig came back on its own. Princess Kitty realised it had not been lost at all really. It had just been on an adventure. It had just been living its life for a little while without her.

Princess Kitty thinks that this is like Growly Bear. Although she misses Growly Bear he is not really lost. He is living his life.

Growing Up

Princess Kitty has been in a difficult place this week. She has been starting the think more about the future. She knows she needs to start thinking about finding a new little home. A home that won't be borrowed like The Cardigan. A house that will be hers.

Princess Kitty realised this at the weekend but she felt a bit stuck about how to take the first step. She hasn't really talked to Growly Bear about this. She knows it is important that she does this independently. It is part of growing up.

Princess Kitty knows that she is growing up. She knows that as she grows up she will understand more about the point of guinea pigs. She knows that sometimes growing up is hard and painful. She knows herself well enough to know how she will react to this. First she gets scared. Then she reassures heself that it will be OK and that she will feel better soon and she will be able to work out what to do next.

Princess Kitty knows growing up means learning to depend on yourself. To do that you have to trust yourself and love yourself. Growly Bear has helped Princess Kitty learn how to love herself. Princess Kitty hopes Growly Bear loves himself more too. She also knows growing up means staying a child too. It means loving and laughing and crying and playing.

Because Princess Kitty has been thinking this week she is worried that she has not been giving Growly Bear the attention he deserves. She is seeing Growly Bear tomorrow. She is very excited. She is going to give him lots of attention.

Loving Growly Bear is the best part of growing up.

Forbidden Love

Princess Kitty has been to a meeting today. It was a meeting about boy bears that love other boy bears and girl cats that love other girl cats. Princess Kitty found it very interesting and thought provoking.

They talked about how people can be unkind or thoughtless. They talked about how people judge them. Princess Kitty thinks about guinea pigs. They come in all sorts of sizes and colours. At the end of the day though they are all guinea pigs. They all need love and warmth and care.

Princess Kitty thinks again about these special bears and cats. She knows what it is like to love someone against the rules. She knows what it is like to have to keep her love a secret. She understands that it is difficult. You have to be brave. Very brave indeed.

Life And Death

Growly Bear has had an accident. An accident in his little Skoda. Poor Growly Bear. A big tree fell down into the road because it was very windy. Growly Bear was taken by surprise. He did not see it coming. He crashed into it.

Growly Bear is not hurt. He was frightened at the time though. His little Skoda is all dented and scratched. Poor Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty was shocked when Growly Bear told her about his accident. She is happy that Growly Bear is alright. It makes her think about life though. It makes her think about how we never know what is around the corner. It makes her think that every day could be the last and how important it is to live every moment to the full. It reminds Princess Kitty of a song by Tim McGraw called "Live Like You Were Dying".

Princess Kitty reflects that we are all dying. She knows it is the only thing in life that is certain. Not like the point of guinea pigs - there is nothing certain about that at all.

Princess Kitty decides not to think any more about death. She decides to think instead about how nice it is to be alive. How nice it is to have someone special to love like Growly Bear. How important he is to her. As important as life and death.

Sixth Sense

Growly Bear is telepathic. Growly Bear can sense Princess Kitty next to him even when she is not there. He can imagine her milky smell. He can hear her sweet voice. He remembers the feel of her soft fur. He can taste her delicious kisses. He can see her sweet little nose and cute whiskers.

Princess Kitty can sense Growly Bear next to her too. She can smell his Growly Bear smell. She can hear his warm gentle voice. She can imagine the feel of his furry body. She can taste the lovely honey he makes. She can see his round little tummy and furry face.

Animals are supposed to have a sixth sense. Princess Kitty wonders if guinea pigs have a sixth sense. She thinks the cleverest guinea pigs probably do.

There's No Place Like Home

Growly Bear stayed at The Cardigan last night. This morning Growly Bear and Princess Kitty talked. They talked about homes.

Princess Kitty thinks a home is the place where you feel safe. She thinks it is a place where you feel relaxed and can be yourself. She thinks this might not be a building. She thinks it is the place where love is.

Growly Bear thinks a home is a place which is cosy and snug. He thinks it should have lots of creature comforts.

Growly Bear has had lots of homes. The Cardigan is the first home Princess Kitty has had of her own. She is only borrowing it though. One day she hopes to have a home of her own. There will be lots of love in her home. She will have lots of creature comforts so that Growly Bear will be happy there too.

Princess Kitty thinks about guinea pigs. They like to have snug little homes. They like to live with other guinea pigs so that they are not lonely. Princess Kitty decides that guinea pigs understand the point of homes.

Growly Bear has gone back to his home now - his cave. Princess Kitty looks around The Cardigan. Even though she likes her little home, it always feels nicer when Growly Bear is in it.

A Matching Pair

Growly Bear has been at The Cardigan tonight. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have had a lovely evening. Sometimes they manage to feel very in tune with each other. Tonight was one of those nights. One of those nights when everything comes together. One of those times when they feel very connected to each other.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been playing their guitars. The played very well together. Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been singing. They sang very well together. Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been chatting. They understand each other very well. Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been making honey. Delicious!

They have been talking about the importance of looking at life in different ways. They have been talking about how different people see things in different ways. They have been talking about how the point of guinea pigs is different for everyone.

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are very different. They are different to each other and they are unique individuals. They are also connected at a very deep level, as if they are completed by each other. Like a pair of antique dolls, their value together is more than each individually. They are truly little treasures.

I'm Gonna Make You A Star

Princess Kitty has taken another step towards stardom today. She has been on the television. Some reporters came to her offices and talked to her. They had a big camera and a microphone covered in something furry. The microphone reminded Princess Kitty of something about Growly Bear although she could not quite put her finger on it.

The reporters wanted to talk to Princess Kitty about some things bad people do. The sort of bad people who will never understand the point of guinea pigs. The reporters asked her what she thought of these bad people then asked her to give some advice on how to stop them.

Princess Kitty has not seen the programme yet. She hopes that she performed OK. She hopes Growly Bear and the people she looks after will be proud of her.

Princess Kitty wonders if she should change her name if she is going to be famous. She wonders if Princess Kitty is the right name for a celebrity. She thinks about what Growly Bear would say if she asked him. She knows what Growly Bear would say. He would say "You are who you are".

Princess Kitty decides Princess Kitty is just the right name for a superstar.

A New Bear

Growly Bear if feeling very happy. Very happy indeed. At last his magic is starting to work and change his fortunes at work. Two good things have happened.

The first good thing is that Fatty Flatfoot has changed her decision about taking his money away. Growly Bear is very pleased about that. Very pleased indeed.

The second good thing is that he is being given a new job. The new job is very interesting and exciting. It will allow Growly Bear to share his magic with others. It will give him chance to help others understand the point of guinea pigs. It is a small step away from slavery.

Growly Bear rang Princess Kitty up to tell her all about it. He says his new job will give him a new lease of life. He says he feels different already. He tells Princess Kitty she will probably see a difference in him when they next meet.

Princess Kitty doesn't mind as long as Growly Bear is as sweet and cuddly as ever.

Just Deserts

It's happened again. Fatty Flatfoot has struck again. Another of her lieutenants is leaving. Just like Princess Kitty she is leaving in mysterious circumstances. Just like Princess Kitty she is leaving without another job to go to. Princess Kitty hopes that she is OK.

Princess Kitty wonders that no-one outside Fatty Flatfoot's empire can see her wickedness. She wonders about a system that allows someone like Fatty Flatfoot to continue hurting people and destroying guinea pigs. She knows though that Fatty Flatfoot's magic is strong. She knows that it will take a very powerful witch or wizard to defeat her.

Princess Kitty does not like to think of herself as vengeful or unkind to others. There is a bit of her though that hopes that one day Fatty Flatfoot will get what she deserves. She has a bottle of champagne in just in case.

Brotherly Love

Growly Bear brought Princess Kitty back to The Cardigan today in his little Skoda. They had a visitor. Princess Kitty's brother came to visit.

Princess Kitty's brother is very clever. Very clever indeed. He knows lots about the point of guinea pigs. He has a skateboard too. A Harley skateboard. He is a cool dude.

Princess Kitty loves her brother. She loves him very much. He was very kind to her when she was in trouble as a slave in the Fatty Flatfoot empire.

Princess Kitty remembers those dark times. She remembers them very well. She remembers how alone she felt, despite all the love in her life. She remembers how frightened she was. She remembers how lost she felt. She remembers especially a time when she ran away on her own to hide. She felt so frightened, lost and lonely. She did not know how she would survive.

Princess Kitty's brother sent her a text. He told her "This will be OK". Princess Kitty felt he believed in her. She thinks he probably saved her life.

Growly Bear cooked a special meal for him this evening. Growly Bear likes Princess Kitty's brother. Princess Kitty's brother likes Growly Bear. Princess Kitty is happy that two of the most special people in her life like each other. She looks at them laughing together and purrs.

Every Little Helps

Growly Bear wanted to cook a special meal for Princess Kitty today.

First they went shopping to get the ingredients. Princess Kitty does not like shopping very much. She does not think it is very much fun. She thought about doing some tricks to make it more interesting. She thought about putting extra things in people's baskets when they were not looking. She thought about jumping on her trolly and seeing how fast it could go. She thought about singing to see if anyone else would join in. Then she thought that perhaps Growly Bear might not like that. So Princess Kitty trotted along behind Growly Bear and smiled sweetly.

Growly Bear likes shopping. He is trying to teach Princess Kitty how much fun shopping can be. He is puzzled that she does not seem to like it very much. He thinks it is odd that she does not look forward to seeing all the interesting packets and tins and taking lots of time to choose which ones to buy. He thinks it is strange that she does not get excited about sniffing the bread and squeezing the mangos. He is sure that she will never understand the point of guinea pigs if she does not understand about shopping.

When they got home, Growly Bear cooked for Princess Kitty. The meal was nice. Very nice indeed. Princess Kitty licked her lips when she had finished.

Princess Kitty thinks about shopping. She thinks about their nice meal. She wonders if Growly Bear knows something she doesn't ...........

Growly Nightingale

Princess Kitty has been poorly. She has been sick. She has had a bug in her tummy. Poor Princess Kitty.

Growly Bear has been looking after her. He has been very kind. He has been nursing Princess Kitty. He has been getting her drinks. He has been mopping her brow. He has been plumping up her pillows. He has been giving her little kisses to make her better.

Princess Kitty thinks Growly Bear is a good nurse. She thinks he is good at taking care of things. She thinks he would be good at looking after guinea pigs.

Growly Bear feels sorry for Princess Kitty. He wishes he could make her better. He misses having his little playmate about to have fun with. He thinks nice thoughts and hopes that Princess Kitty will feel better tomorrow.

Sins and Forgiveness

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have had a busy day. They have been been to the music shop where Princess Kitty bought a strap for her guitar. They also bought matching music stands and matching strings. Growly Bear took Princess Kitty to some other shops. Some of them were quite strange. Princess Kitty thought they might have something to do with Growly Bear's awake dreams.

This evening Growly Bear took Princess Kitty out for a meal. It was at an Italian restaurant. It is one of Growly Bear's favourite places to eat.

Growly Bear likes nice food. Tonight he ate some veal. Princess Kitty was shocked. She does not eat meat. She thinks keeping baby cows in dark places then killing them to eat is cruel. Almost as bad a eating guinea pigs. She wonders if she should be strict with Growly Bear about it. She wonders if she should shake her paw at him.

Princess Kitty looks at Growly Bear. She finds it very difficult to be cross with him. He is so sweet and cuddly. She decides she will forgive him - just this once.

On The Move

Princess Kitty is ready. She is ready to go on her little holiday to Growly Bear's cave. She has packed her suitcase. She has packed her guitar. She has even packed some little surprises for Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty is going on a train. It is dark so she will be careful. She won't talk to any strangers, not even if they offer to show her some guinea pigs.

Growly Bear is going to pick her up from the train station. He is going to pick her up in his little Skoda. Then they are going to go to Growly Bear's cave.

Princess Kitty wonders what it will be like. She knows that Growly Bear is very excited about her coming. He is looking forward to showing her his cave. He is looking forward to making honey with her in his cave.

Princess Kitty likes going on holiday. She knows that she will have a lovely time with Growly Bear. She knows that this is another important part of their journey together. She picks up her suitcase and leaves The Cardigan.

Cool For Cats

Princess Kitty is excited. Very excited indeed. She is going on a little holiday. A holiday at Growly Bear's cave.

The other bear who lives at Growly Bear's cave is going away for a few days. Growly Bear is going to show Princess Kitty his cave. He is excited too although he is still angry about Fatty Flatfoot's latest wicked deed.

Growly Bear has some pets. He doesn't have any guinea pigs but he does have some cats. One of his cats is called Dave. He is white and soppy. Princess Kitty is looking forward to meeting him. She is looking forward to stroking him. She is looking forward to stroking Growly Bear too.

Growly Bear is planning to spoil Princess Kitty. He is going to feed her nice food and make her feel relaxed and comfortable. Princess Kitty thinks this will be very nice. Very nice indeed. She likes the idea of Growly Bear looking after her. She has a few little surprised planned for him too though....................................

Slave Labour

Something bad has happened. A bad thing has happened to Growly Bear. Poor Growly Bear.

Of course, that evil witch Fatty Flatfoot is behind it. She treats all her slaves badly sooner or later. Working in the Fatty Flatfoot empire is not easy. It is dangerous and it is hard work.

Poor Growly Bear has been told they are going to take some of his money away from him. A lot of his money in fact. Poor Growly Bear. It is so unfair. He works very hard and despite all he knows about Fatty Flatfoot he has remained a loyal and hard working slave.

Growly Bear is upset and angry. Princess Kitty feels upset and angry too. It upsets her to think of Growly Bear being hurt. It makes her angry to think of him treated unfairly. It is hard to see the point of guinea pigs at times like this.

Princess Kitty wishes there was something she could do to make Growly Bear feel better. If she was with him she would cuddle him and soothe him. It is hard to be so far away from him when he is sad.

Poor Growly Bear.

Secrets

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have been talking about secrets today. They talked about whether it is important to have secrets. Princess Kitty thinks some secrets are bad. She understands that you have to have private bits of you though. Growly Bear agrees.

The point of guinea pigs is a secret. It is a secret that Princess Kitty and Growly Bear want to find out more about though. They think it is probably a good secret.

One thing they are sure about is that the point of guinea pigs is not to make pies out of. Not like that bad witch Fatty Flatfoot. She has lots of secrets. Lots of bad secrets.

Princess Kitty had secrets when she worked for Fatty Flatfoot. She kept secret some of the bad things that Fatty Flatfoot did. She kept secret the bad things that Suma did too. She kept secret the bad things that Fatty Flatfoot did to her. Growly Bear did not know anything about it until Princess Kitty told him after he escaped. She kept her secrets because she was frightened. She also kept her secrets because she thought it was best for others.

Perhaps the important thing about secrets is that they should always be good.

Dream Boy

Growly Bear has dreams. He dreams about all sorts of things. Sometimes he dreams when he is asleep and sometimes he dreams when he is awake.

Some of his awake dreams are about Princess Kitty. He dreams about kissing her when they are not together. He dreams about her cuddling him and stroking his tummy. He dreams about making honey with her.

Princess Kitty understands these dreams. She has such dreams about Growly Bear. She is puzzled about some of his other awake dreams though.

Growly Bear has dreams about Princess Kitty wearing certain sorts of clothes. Princess Kitty never dreams about what Growly Bear wears. Growly Bear dreams about Princess Kitty wearing lacy underwear. Princess Kitty never dreams about Growly Bears pants. Growly Bear dreams about Princess Kitty wearing stockings and high heeled shoes. Princess Kitty never dreams about Growly Bears socks and shoes. Growly Bear dreams about Princess Kitty dressing up in shiny black leather clothes and being very strict with him. Princess Kitty never dreams about Growly Bear being strict with her, although she does like him in his leather skateboarding clothes.

Princess Kitty wonders if Growly Bear is alright. She thinks it is very strange that he dreams about her clothes. Like guinea pigs, Growly Bear is hard to understand sometimes.

A Few Favourite Things

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are tired. They have been making some more delicious honey. They have used up a lot of energy. They tried a few new things but also kept in some of the special ingredients they know make the honey taste good.

Princess Kitty loves making honey with Growly Bear. It is at the top of her list of things she likes to do. Other things on her list are singing and playing her guitar. She likes running and riding her skate board. She likes talking with Growly Bear about things, such as the point of guinea pigs. She loves spending time with her kittens and others that she loves. She especially likes playing tricks on Growly Bear.

Growly Bear is funny when Princess Kitty plays tricks on him. He pretends that he thinks it is terrible but Princess Kitty knows that he likes it really. She knows that Growly Bear understands that the tricks she plays are because she loves him. Sometimes she laughs about her tricks. When she does, Growly Bear laughs a bit too. When Princess Kitty asks if he is going to get her back though, he just growls.

A Helping Hand

Growly Bear is at the Cardigan. He and Princess Kitty have been out to a concert. They have been to see Growly Bear's boy cub who is in a band.

Growly Bear's cub's band is very loud. Very loud indeed. They are quite famous though. And the music they make is very good. They work very well together as a band. Growly Bear says their music is ground breaking.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are in bed now. Princess Kitty reflects upon their evening. Growly Bear had introduced her to his cub, although he did not tell him about their love.

Princess Kitty loves the way that Growly Bear is proud of his cub. She knows that Growly Bear has played a big part in helping his cub. He taught him to play the guitar just like he has taught Princess Kitty. Clever Growly Bear.

Helping other people is important. Princess Kitty knows it has something to do with the point of guinea pigs. Growly Bear often helps other people. Perhaps this is because he used to be a boy scout. He helps Princess Kitty. It is one of the many things that Princess Kitty loves about Growly Bear.

She looks at Growly Bear sleeping next to her. "I love you Growly Bear" she whispers as she snuggles up next to his nice warm tummy.

The Young One

Princess Kitty has been to a concert. A concert of Nick Drake songs. She had heard a few before she went but enjoyed hearing more. She likes the plaintiff sounds and the poetic lyrics. She thinks it is very very sad that he died so young, never knowing how famous he would be, not living to see himself get the acclaim he deserved. She feels sorry for the people that loved him.

She wonders how someone so young could know so much about guinea pigs. She wonders how he could have become so technically brilliant at such a tender age. Life can be very sad sometimes.

Growly Bear has talent too. He can do magic. He is starting to understand about this more and more. This week he has been encouraging the naughty bears he works with to do difficult things and to see things differently. He can get them to do things most people could not.

Princess Kitty wonders where Growly Bear's magic will take him. At least there is no chance of him dying young like Nick Drake.

A Ray Of Sunshine

Princess Kitty's girl kitten has been to visit tonight. Princess Kitty loves her girl kitten. She is so full of life. Growly Bear would say that she is "full of vim and vigour". She does not really understand the point of guinea pigs yet but Princess Kitty knows that she is magic.

Princess Kitty and her girl kitten have been playing guitars together. Princess Kitty gave her old guitar to her girl kitten. She was very pleased. Princess Kitty taught her some chords. She taught her to play a song. She taught her to play "You Are My Sunshine".

Princess Kitty thinks her girl kitten is her little ray of sunshine. She loves her very much. She drinks a little toast to her clever daughter.

Knickers In A Twist

Growly Bear has been doing his chores. He has been doing some cleaning and sorting out the washing. He is quite clever. He knows how to work the washing machine all by himself.

He has also been saying some more of his funny words. Today's word was 'jolly' to mean 'very'. He made Princess Kitty giggle when he said it.

This evening Growly Bear has been working. He has been helping some bears that have been in trouble to change their behaviour. He tries to help them understand a little more about guinea pigs. He is very good at this.

Princess Kitty has been busy too. She has had a busy day at work today and then another meeting this evening. The meeting was a bit frustrating. The person in charge was a bit weak and so the meeting went on a long time without much getting done. Princess Kitty finds she gets a bit cross when this happens. She tries to be helpful though. She knows that this is something she needs to be careful about as she can be grumpy when this happens.

Sometimes Princess Kitty gets a bit grumpy with Growly Bear. He is always very patient and understanding when she is. Princess Kitty thinks this is kind of him.

Growly Bear is sometimes grumpy with Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty can be naughty when Growly Bear is bit irritable. Sometimes she teases him. Everyone knows that teasing bears is bad. Naughty Princess Kitty.

The Sublime And The Ridiculous

Growly Bear has found a song for Princess Kitty to sing. It is called "My Baby Loves Me Just The Way I Am". Princess Kitty had not heard the song before but she likes it. She is going to practice playing and singing it until she can do it well.

Princess Kitty has been practising on her guitar all evening. She has been practising her singing too. She has been working very hard. She is one step closer to discovering the point of guinea pigs. Good girl Princess Kitty.

Growly Bear has been watching television tonight. He has been watching "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here". He says it is sociologically important. He has not thought about guinea pigs at all. Oh dear Growly Bear.

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

Growly Bear is missing Princess Kitty today. He always misses her but today he is missing her a lot. He thinks about her living in The Cardigan on her own. He thinks of her playing her new guitar and singing on her own. He thinks of her cooking and eating on her own. He thinks about her wondering about guinea pigs on her own. He would like to be with her.

Growly Bear has had a nice day though. He has been to see some other bears and one of his cubs is coming over this evening. Growly Bear is cooking a special meal for her. He likes seeing his cubs.

It is his girl cub that is coming to visit. She is very clever. She is an artist. Growly Bear can draw and paint a little bit but his cub is very talented. Growly Bear is very proud of her.

Growly Bear goes back to thinking about Princess Kitty. Everyone tells him that absence makes the heart grow fonder. He understands this but it doesn't stop him wishing he was cuddling Princess Kitty right now.
