The Importance Of Cuddles

Every guinea pig knows the importance of cuddles. Growly Bear and Princess Kitty understand too.

Growly Bear likes cuddling Princess Kitty. He likes it because it makes him feel loved and part of something. He likes it because he sometimes has naughty thoughts when he is doing it. He likes cuddling Princess Kitty because he thinks she is sexy.

Princess Kitty likes cuddling Growly Bear. She likes snuggling into his furriness. She likes the feel of his little round tummy against hers.

They both like cuddles because they make them feel safe. They like to cuddle after they have made honey. They like to cuddle when they are telling each other scary stories about Fatty Flatfoot and the witchdoctor Suma.

Tonight is a scary night. It is Halloween. There is lots of magic about in the world. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear know that cuddles are a good counter spell to bad magic. They know that sometimes they have to find a way to cuddle eachother even when they are apart.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are agreed. Cuddles are important.

Thank You For The Music

Princess Kitty has not really been thinking about guinea pigs much today. Instead Princess Kitty has made a decision. She has bought her new guitar. It is a beautiful Ovation Celebrity. She loves it. She loves it very much.

Growly Bear went with her to help her choose it. He bought her a very special case to keep it in. Kind Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty has taken her new guitar to show her mummy and daddy. She is very proud of it. They gave her some money towards it. Kind mummy and daddy. She played to them and they sang together. They have never done that before. It was a special moment.

Growly Bear has always had music in his life. He has learned the joy of bringing it into the lives of others. He has brought it into Princess Kitty's life. Clever Growly Bear. Lucky Princess Kitty

Walk This Way

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have both had a quieter day today. It has been quite a roller coaster week and both of them are taking time to reflect.

Princess Kitty has used her time to do some research about guinea pigs. She wonders how they act when they are in love. This is what she read:

"The mating rituals for guinea pigs are quite interesting. The male does a courtship dance to attract the female consisting of a series of hops and bottom wiggling. He shows his admiration by spraying his chosen mate with a little of his urine. Just to get the little lady in the mood. Then the lady shows her acceptance by squatting in front of him. Then the violins play and waves roll on the beach and it is 'Here To Eternity' once again. "

Princess Kitty thinks this is probably not exactly being in love. It does sound like fun though. Princess Kitty wonders if Growly Bear could attract her in such a way. She thinks it would be interesting to see him hop and wiggle his bottom. She hopes, though, that he might show his admiration for her in some other way. Perhaps she will suggest it to him next time she sees him.

Now That's Rock And Roll

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been out on their skateboards together today. Growly Bear arrived at The Cardigan on his this morning. He told Princess Kitty how he had been practicing some tricks on it. He can ride along with one arm out, wiggle through bends and brake smoothly. He knows a guinea pig could never do those things. He is very proud of himself.

Before they went out Growly Bear and Princess Kitty made some honey. It was a different sort of honey to usual. It took much less time to make and had a more intense quality. They liked it. They agreed they would not want it all the time but that it made a refreshing change.

They have had great fun riding on their skate boards together. They feel like renegades. They also went to a shop. Princess Kitty is looking for a new guitar. Growly Bear is helping her to choose one. So they went to the guitar shop and tried lots of different ones out. Princess Kitty has seen two that she likes. One is an Ovation and the other a Simon and Patrick. She is going to think some more before she buys though.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have done some more talking today too. They have talked about some of the hard choices that may lie ahead and what they might need to to do prepare. They have talked again about how much they love eachother. Sometimes it is hard to be a renegade. On days like today though it really is rock and roll.

Funny Old Bear

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have both been making speeches today. They have both been honouring colleagues that they work with. Growly Bear's colleague is retiring. Princess Kitty's colleague has been in the same job for 25 years. Both admire their colleagues very much. Both colleagues seem to understand the point of guinea pigs, at least in some ways.

Growly Bear is good at making speeches. He is very talented and very funny. Princess Kitty thinks he should be a comedian. Growly Bear does write some jokes but he is too shy to share them. Princess Kitty hopes he will share them with her one day. She likes it when he is funny. He makes her laugh.

Princess Kitty thinks about how much joy and laughter Growly Bear brings to her life. She smiles to herself. "I love you funny old bear" she says out loud.

Bless You Growly Bear

Growly Bear is not very well. He has a cold. His nose is all blocked up and his chest is tight. He is coughing a lot.

Growly Bear is tired too. He has been working very hard. He has also been worrying about Princess Kitty. She gets sad when they are apart and he doesn't know what to do. He wants to make her feel better but she can be a bit tricky sometimes.

Princess Kitty has been feeling better today. She decided to ask Growly Bear some questions. She asked him about the other bear that he lives with.

Princess Kitty does not talk about this other bear much. It is a difficult subject. Princess Kitty wishes in a way that she knew the other bear. She wonders if they would like eachother. She wonders what would happen if the other bear found out about her. She wonders if the other bear knows about guinea pigs and what her view of them is.

Growly Bear answered Princess Kitty's questions. They were quite difficult and he found them hard to answer but he was as honest as he could be. Princess Kitty found this very helpful. Princess Kitty is grateful that Growly Bear is so honest with her. She marvels at how deep and complex he is. She thinks about how much she loves him.

At the end of their talk Princess Kitty wished Growly Bear sweet dreams. Growly Bear sneezed.

Dark and Lonely

Growly Bear has sent Princess Kitty an email. He is worried about Princess Kitty because he knows that she is upset and hurting. He is hurting too. He wonders what it happening when Princess Kitty is feeling bad. He wonders if she is angry with him or wondering if he loves her enough. And he misses her.

Princess Kitty knows Growly Bear loves her. She has never doubted his love. She knows that life is hard for him too.

Princess Kitty has been thinking about guinea pigs today. She feels a bit like a guinea pig. She feels like a guinea pig who lives in a beautiful cage. It is possible to look out from the cage but from the outside the cage is invisible. In the cage she feels loved and cared about. Outside the cage there is a dark and lonely place. But that dark and lonely place is open. In that dark and lonely place she can be seen. And this cage has a door. A door that leads out into the open. But the door only works one way. If she leaves the beautiful cage to go into the open, she won't be able to get back in.

Princess Kitty wonders what a guinea pig would do in such a situation.

Tears On My Pillow

Princess Kitty is hurting. She is hurting a lot. She has had a wonderful couple of nights with Growly Bear but now he has gone back to his cave. The Cardigan seems very empty. She misses him terribly. She has a bad pain inside her where it hurts so much. She wants to squeak louder than any guinea pig.

Growly Bear was not very well when he woke up this morning. He had a bad headache. Princess Kitty had to weave some spells to make it better. She loves taking care of Growly Bear. She feels sad when he is hurting.

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are going to sing some songs together in public. They are going to be Christmas songs. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear like songs. They like the way they tell you about life. About happiness and sorrow, about pain and about love.

Princess Kitty wonders what song titles would describe her life at the moment. "Thank You For Loving Me" perhaps, or "I Love How You Love Me". For tonight though it will probably be "Tears On My Pillow".

Who Ate All The Pies?

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been laughing. They have been laughing so much that they cried. Princess Kitty has been playing tricks on Growly Bear. Growly Bear has been playing tricks on Princess Kitty. They have talked about funny things. They have talked about less funny things but they still made them laugh. They talked about Fatty Flatfoot. Usually talking about Fatty Flatfoot does not make them laugh, but today it did.

Fatty Flatfoot does something terrible. SHE EATS GUINEA PIGS! She cooks them in pies and snacks on them in secret throughout the day. She is very proud of her pies, which she makes to a special recipe with her own pastry. They are all different sizes - big ones for meal times, bite size for snacks.

This does not make Growly Bear and Princess Kitty laugh. They know this is a terrible thing to do. What makes them laugh is remembering the time that someone stole one of the pies. Or rather a part of one. They giggle when they remember her shriek of rage and how she came down the stairs holding a pie with a bite out of it. They hold their sides as they laugh about how she questioned everyone to find out who had done it. They wish it had been one of them. But it wasn't. No-one ever found out just who had done it. They must have been protected by very strong magic.

Living In The Moment

Growly Bear is visiting The Cardigan. He has a special surprise for Princess Kitty. He is going to stay for two nights.

Princess Kitty is happy and excited. She loves it when Growly Bear comes to stay. She likes the feeling she gets when she is waiting for him to arrive. She likes the way he always looks around when he first enters The Cardigan to see if anything has changed. She likes that he holds her and kisses her and is pleased to see her. She loves the way they spend their time together - singing, playing, chatting, laughing and making honey.

Growly Bear loves visiting The Cardigan. He likes it that Princess Kitty is excited about him coming. He likes it that she makes The Cardigan welcoming. He likes the way she folds into his arms and kisses his face. He loves their mutual understanding and the way they bring out the best in eachother.

When Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are together it seems as if the rest of the world fades into the background. The point of guinea pigs doesn't seem to matter any more. They know it can't last forever and that they will have to face their responsibilities once more in the morning. For now though they are just going to enjoy their love.

A Star Is Born

My goodness! Princess Kitty has just given her first public singing performance. She is on a singing course for those who want to sing but are not sure if they can. She is having a lovely time. They have been working hard since yesterday and tonight they had a little informal cabaret. They were all scared but they all took the plunge and sang a solo, including Princess Kitty.

Princess Kitty has met some very interesting individuals on the course. One of them, who is only 37, was widowed last November. Her husband died of a brain tumor. Princess Kitty thinks she probably loved him very much. Princess Kitty is impressed at her courage in facing the world since, learning new skills, taking risks and just living life. Princess Kitty thinks it must change your life when you have looked death in the face like that. She told Princess Kitty that she has four guinea pigs. Princess Kitty knows she understands the point of them.

As for Princess Kitty, she has not had to face something that difficult, but she has faced some of her own demons. And now she has found out she can sing. Princess Kitty is a Diva!

On The Horns Of A Dilemma

Princess Kitty has a dilemma. Growly Bear wants her to go and visit him at his cave. She has never been to Growly Bear's cave. He lives there with another bear and sometimes a cub or other visiting bears and they don't know about Princess Kitty. Growly Bear can't tell them about his love for Princess Kitty because they would be frightened that he might run away and not come back.

The other bear is going on holiday and Growly Bear is excited. He wants to show Princess Kitty where he lives. He wants her to see how nice his home is. He wants her to know where he goes when he leaves her at The Cardigan. He would like them to make honey together in his cave.

Princess Kitty understands Growly Bear's excitement. They always love sharing things - their thoughts and ideas, their experiences and their feelings. She wants to please Growly Bear. She wants to know about things that are special to him. She would like to see his cave.

The trouble is Princess Kitty is also a bit scared. She understands why Growly Bear keeps her a secret from the other bears but it hurts her too and she thinks visiting his cave will remind her of this and how hard it is to be parted from him.

She doesn't know what to do. She wonders if guinea pigs miss each other when they are apart. She thinks if they do she is probably luckier. At least she understands why. She thinks guinea pigs probably don't. Poor guinea pigs.

It is good to have a choice. It is hard too though. Maybe she should just toss a coin.

Life Is Like A Box of Chocolates

Princess Kitty caught a glimpse of the point of guinea pigs today. Just for second. Then it slipped out of reach again. It has left her very reflective. She ponders on her day.

One of the things Princess Kitty likes about life is that every moment is different. Today she has felt contentment, in control, excitement, love, pain, empathy, self-doubt, joy and warmth. Her feeling of contentment was because she likes her life and feels at home in The Cardigan. She felt in control when she was working and completing tasks. She felt excited when she exchanged texts with Growly Bear about new ideas for making honey. She felt love when she went to visit her mummy. She felt pain when she remembered that she is not a babe. She felt empathy for a stranger who is having a difficult time. She had self doubt that she will ever be good enough to sing in public. She felt joy when she was practicing her singing. She felt warmth when she talked to Growly Bear on the phone.

Princess Kitty smiles to herself. She likes being alive.

Clever Boy Growly Bear

Growly Bear has been very clever today. Very clever indeed. He came out of an encounter with Fatty Flatfoot having turned one of her spells back on herself.

As well as constantly putting spells upon those around her, Fatty Flatfoot is also surrounded by a number of protective spells . Many others do not know this of course. They think the crackling sound as she passes is caused by the vast quantities of nylon and crimpelene she wears. Growly Bear and Princess Kitty know it is the crackle of magic.

Growly Bear had not intended to deflect the spell, although of course he is always on his guard in her presence. He often does magic without meaning too. Today, just as Fatty Flatfoot was bewitching those around her to do her bidding he came up with a clever new idea. Growly Bear does not know this but clever new ideas are a very effective way to counter and reflect a spell if they appear at just the right moment. And today Growly Bear's idea did just that. He watched in amazement as Fatty Flatfoot and those around her changed from virtually ignoring him to praising him for such a wonderful idea. They agreed to everything he suggested. Growly Bear simply watched in amazement.

Princess Kitty is very proud of him. She knows he has strong powers even though he does not recognise them himself. She is a little worried too. If Fatty Flatfoot ever finds out he is so magical he could be in great danger. Anyone who can do what she does to guinea pigs is a force to be reckoned with. She thinks Fatty Flatfoot may already have a little suspicion, but for now the extra protective spells she has woven around Growly Bear seem to be keeping him safe..............................

Love and Laughter

Princess Kitty is a little tired tonight. She has been out running . She has been feeling much better today though - full of "vim and vigour" as Growly Bear would say. Growly Bear has lots of funny expressions like this. Princess Kitty often giggles to herself about them. Other things he says are "goodness" and "gosh" as well as "by a country mile", "silly sausage" and "O Lady". Princess Kitty thinks these expressions are especially funny because Growly Bear is usually so rock and roll.

Growly Bear thinks Princess Kitty talks in a funny way too. Sometimes he teases her about it. Princess Kitty likes it when Growly Bear teases her. He makes her laugh. Princess Kitty likes laughing. It makes her feel nice inside. She loves laughing with Growly Bear. She thinks it is sad that guinea pigs can't laugh. She thinks it is one of the best things about being alive. She decides she is going to try to laugh every day from now on. She wonders how she might do this. "I know" she thinks "I will play some tricks on Growly Bear". She is smiling already.

The Nature of Insanity

Thanks goodness. Princess Kitty is feeling better this evening. She is still feeling quite shaken about how she was this morning though. It is a very long time since she felt so terrible - it was like being shut in a dark cupboard or stuck in a tunnel and not being able to get out.

Growly Bear has been kind to her. He seems to understand her very well. Princess Kitty thinks she is very lucky although she wishes that she could be a bit more stable. She wonders how he can be so clever. Then she remembers that he can do magic. He did some magic today - on Fatty Flatfoot. He has developed an excellent countercurse although of course he does not realise that is what it is. He deflects her spells by looking her straight in the eye. Princess Kitty is impressed. That is as effective as any spell she can weave. Growly Bear has been working his magic in other ways too - he gets people to believe in him as soon as they meet him and those he works with love him.

Princess Kitty admires Growly Bear. He is so strong and clever. He worries less than her about the point of guinea pigs although he does think about it sometimes. She wonders if this is what makes her so variable. She can't really remember what she was like before that terrible time in Fatty Flatfoot's inner circle. Perhaps Fatty Flatfoot's spells damaged her mind forever.

She wonders if Fatty Flatfoot is still hurting other people with her wicked magic. She thinks she probably is. She is very clever. She lures her victims by pretending to be nice and kind, like a spider enticing a fly, then slowly she fills them with her poison until they are paralysed.

Maybe one day Princess Kitty will go back to fight her.......................

Headaches and Heartaches

Princess Kitty has had a bad night. She slept but had bad dreams and has woken up feeling upset and frightened. For once her dreams were not about that witch Fatty Flatfoot. She was dreaming about Growly Bear. She felt sad when he left her yesterday but got on with other things so she didn't have to think about that. Now she wishes she had spent some time dealing with her feelings so that she did not take them to bed with her.

She always cries when Growly Bear leaves for a little while because she misses him. Of course she understands that he has to go back to his cave. Other bears depend upon him and he loves them. She quite likes living on her own at the moment in some ways too. It is just very hard to be parted from him.

Now she has to get on and get ready for work. She has a headache and a heartache and feels horrible but knows she has to face the world. She knows these feelings will pass and that she will feel better soon. She will take some tablets for her headache and think nice thoughts to heal her heartache. She will think about Growly Bear and how much she loves him. That should cheer her up.

The Sweet Taste of Honey

Growly Bear is feeling very pleased with himself. He has just made the best honey ever. He made it with Princess Kitty at The Cardigan where he has been visiting today. It was the sweetest, most delicious honey either of them had tasted in their lives.

Growly Bear went to The Cardigan on his BMW skateboard. He has had to do some repairs on it but now it is going very well indeed. Growly Bear likes going out on his skateboard. He likes the sense of fun and freedom it brings. He likes it that Princess Kitty thinks he looks sexy in his skateboarding kit. He is glad he is not a guinea pig because they can't make honey or ride skateboards.

Growly Bear thinks he is getting to know Princess Kitty better all the time. He finds her at once complex and simple, a strong cat and a fragile kitten, independent and needy. He wonders what will become of her and of their love. For now though he is just going to enjoy the aftertaste of that honey

Beautiful People

Princess Kitty has been reading a magazine. She has been reading about Beyonce. She thinks Beyonce is very very beautiful. She read about how Beyonce has been in the public eye since she was 13 and what it is like to always be on show like that - people taking photos on their phone when she is in restaurants and always needing to look good.

Princess Kitty reflects that although it must be very nice to be so beautiful and talented, it must also be a burden. For example it must be difficult to know if people just see the external beauty and don't trouble to find the beauty within. She hopes Beyonce can be happy and find real love like she has.

Growly Bear has been thinking about beautiful people too. He has been to a flash party with lots of rich, talented and famous people. They seemed to be happy. They were singing and partying. Growly Bear danced and danced. He wished Princess Kitty could have been there. He thinks she would have liked the party. He thinks it would have helped her learn a little more about guinea pigs.

Princess Kitty thinks Growly Bear is beautiful. She loves his little round tummy, his strong snout and his warm furriness. She loves his spirit and his kindness and his sense of fun. She likes him best because he is beautiful inside and out.

Paws for Thought

Princess Kitty has sore paws. She has been to a gig and has been dancing. The band had a great girl bass player. Princess Kitty thinks she might like to play in a band like that. She is learning to play the guitar. She is going to practice very hard. She understands you have to work hard to be good at things. You can't become good at things just by using magic, although magic can help

She thinks Growly Bear is good at things. She likes the way he plays his guitar and says funny things. She thinks he is very good at cooking but best of all is the way he makes honey.

She reflects that this is one of the things that makes them different to guinea pigs. They don't practice anything. They just do what guinea pigs do. She wonders if that makes it impossible to be a good guinea pig.......... which makes her head hurt too.

She decides to make her sore parts better. She stops thinking about guinea pigs for a while and her head feels better. She rubs some lotion into her sore paws. Aahh - that's better.

The Cardigan

This is The Cardigan. It is empty at the moment because Princess Kitty is out for the day.

Princess Kitty does not own The Cardigan. She is borrowing it from a friend. She believes that possession is not what makes a home though. She thinks feeling happy and safe and comfortable are the most important features that make The Cardigan homely. She thinks this probably makes her a bit like a guinea pig. She especially likes the way she can wrap the sleeves around herself for protection and that it is always soft and warm.

Growly Bear likes The Cardigan too. It is very different from his cave, although he likes that too. He loves The Cardigan because Princess Kitty lives in it.

One day Princess Kitty hopes to have her own cardigan knitted for her. It would have all the features of The Cardigan but perhaps be a bit bigger and in different colours. For now though she is purrfectly content.

Sweet Dreams Princess Kitty

Princess Kitty is having an early night tonight She has a long drive in her little Yaris tomorrow and has had a busy day - making decisions, writing reports, dealing with her emails and all the other things very important people do at work.

She's got that nice feeling in her tummy like she gets when she has had a saucer of warm milk because she has just been talking to Growly Bear on MSN. He has had a busy day too. He has been painting his cave. He might be coming to see her at the weekend on his BMW skateboard. Princess Kitty feels excited about that. She likes it when Growly Bear comes to The Cardigan. He says he is going to bring some of his special honey.

Princess Kitty hopes that she will sleep well. She usually does but just sometimes she has nightmares. They started when she was Fatty Flatfoot's slave, although at that time they were probably one of the side effects of the spells that wicked witch was binding her with. Now when she has frightening dreams it is memories of her terrible experiences during that period. How she was made to believe that she knew nothing about guinea pigs and never would. How her magical powers were frozen and her ability to weave spells crushed................

Princess Kitty turns over and pushes these bad thoughts from her head. She thinks about Growly Bear again. Soon she is fast asleep, purring ever so gently.

Bear Necessities

Growly Bear has been feeling a bit fed up. Life is tough in the Fatty Flatfoot empire. Everyone wants a piece of him, he has too much work to do and he can't get on with the things he knows are really important.

Work has not been the same since he found out what that witch Fatty Flatfoot did to poor Princess Kitty when she was in her power. Her and that dreadful witchdoctor Suma. Even now he can hardly believe it. Yet he has to carry on as if all is well and pretend that he enjoys being one of her slaves. If she ever finds out about his love for Princess Kitty......

Growly Bear has been daydreaming about Princess Kitty today - her loving licks, her soft purr and her very cute tail. He wondered what she was doing. He thought about how nice it would be to be tucked up in The Cardigan with her, eating a bit of honey and watching her practice her spells. They might even get onto the subject of guinea pigs.

Growly Bear sighed. Being loved by Princess Kitty is not just a pleasure for him - it is a necessity.

Bad Fur Day

Princess Kitty would love to be a babe. She thinks she has nice ears and people tell her she has a cute tail. All in all though she has to face that she will never have the sexiness of a Siamese or the purrfection of a Persian.

Nevertheless she does want to be a bit more rock and roll and so this weekend she had her fur trimmed and has since started to wear it in a different style. She used to have it cropped short in the days she worked for Fatty Flatfoot the wicked witch, who always kept her slaves so busy they did not have time for such things as keeping up with the latest fur styles.

She wore her new style out to a party on Saturday and had various positive comments, including a couple of "Meeeeoooowws" behind her back. This morning though, when Princess Kitty washed her hair and attempted to replicate the blow-dried and straightened creation her furstylist had produced, she simply met frustration and disappointment. "If I were a guinea pig I would not have to worry about this" she muttered to herself "No-one cares what guinea pigs look like".

Growly Bear says he likes her however she looks, though he adds that he does like running his paws through her fur now it is a bit longer. When she asked him if he was sure he said "Growl".

The Cat that got the Cream

Our story begins at a particularly exciting time in the lives of Princess Kitty and Growly Bear. They have just spent their first week together in The Cardigan, a real test of their love and compatibility.

To be truthful, the week did start a little bit wobbly. Princess Kitty was a tad sensitive and did not respond well to a boisterous and slightly over-excited Growly Bear. There were tears at bedtime and a restless night for Princess Kitty.

As the week progressed however things got better and better. The lovers spent much of their time sampling honey, even trying one or two new blends. Growly Bear showed his approval by growling. Princess Kitty stroked his fur and rubbed his tummy.

The rest of the time was taken up with other rock and roll activities. Growly Bear cooked and Princess Kitty watched. Growly Bear cleaned up and Princess Kitty watched again. Growly Bear went shopping and Princess Kitty pushed the trolley. Growly Bear played his guitar and Princess Kitty sang. Growly Bear slept and Princess Kitty wove her spells of bewitchment.

By the end of the week, their love and friendship was deeper and stronger than ever. Both agreed that that whatever happened they would remember this time together as one of the most special moments of their lives.

Of course all wonderful things must end and Growly Bear had to return to his cave. As he drove away he realised that he was more confused than ever about the point of guinea pigs. They weren't as straightforward as he had thought at all.

As for Princess Kitty, she lay back in The Cardigan and thought she caught a glimpse of the point of guinea pigs though she wasn't sure. Either way though she definitely felt like the cat that got the cream.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty

Princess Kitty met Growly Bear a few years ago when they were both working for the wicked witch, Fatty Flatfoot. They knew and admired each other from a distance and although they only saw eachother occasionally they developed a mutual fondness.

Eventually Princess Kitty stopped working for Fatty Flatfoot. She left suddenly (more of that later) and Growly Bear realised he felt quite sad. He text her to see if she was OK and they started to correspond regularly. Over time they became closer and closer and started to meet up to skateboard together. Both lived in their own worlds with their own responsibilities, however, and their meetings had to be kept a secret. They were renegades.

One day Growly Bear told Princess Kitty all about honey, especially his homemade variety. She explained that she only ate one sort of honey and would never try any others. Over time though she wondered more and more about how Growly Bear's honey might taste. Eventually she told him she would like to try a little bit to see if she liked it.

Well, when Princess Kitty eventually tried Growly Bear's special honey she realised it was by far the best she had ever tasted and from then on they ate honey together regularly. Growly Bear began to teach Princess Kitty about rock and roll and Princess Kitty began to teach Growly Bear about magic.

Although Princess Kitty is no longer eating her old honey and has moved to The Cardigan, their liaison remains a secret. Neither of them is quite sure what will become of them but they often talk together about the point of guinea pigs. The answer seems to change every day and indeed some days there doesn't seem to be an answer at all.

Meet Growly Bear

Growly Bear is a rock and roll dude. He combines sensitivity and a loving nature with raw sexiness and a wicked sense of humour. Like Princess Kitty he is clever. He has excellent people skills and is an accomplished musician and cook. He is an expert in the various types and blends of honey, having spent several years testing different varieties. He has developed his own very special kind of honey which is known across 5 counties.

Growly Bear also has a job that carries responsibilities but he too has a mischievous streak that has got him into trouble on more than one occasion. He has magical powers too although he can't do spells like Princess Kitty. He used to think he knew the point of guinea pigs and indeed how to tame them into obedient pets. His belief in this has been seriously undermined in the last year, however.

He lives in a cave with some other bears but is a regular visitor to The Cardigan. He has a less trendy Nokia 1600 but has the courage to drive a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI. He rides a BMW R100 CS skateboard. He does not believe in engaging in any sort of activity that results in breaking out in a sweat other than making honey.

Our hero has a secret ambition to be a rock star and wears his fingers to the bone practicing. In the meantime he continues to work for the wicked witch Fatty Flatfoot............................

Meet Princess Kitty

Princess Kitty is a cool cat. She is at once simple and complex, lovable and weird. She finds life a bit of a puzzle and although she never articulates it she worries that everyone else understands the point of guinea pigs apart from her.

Princess Kitty is clever and has an important job that requires her to take responsibility and be sensible. At the same time she has a mischievous streak that can sometimes get her into trouble. Basically though she is kind and has lots of love in her life.

She lives in The Cardigan and likes to run a little to keep herself fit. She has a trendy Samsung SGH-Z540V mobile phone and drives a classy little Yaris. She also rides a Yamaha Virago skateboard. She has two kittens although they are now independent young cats and spend much of their time out on the tiles.

Our heroine does have some special powers. She can do spells and bewitch people. She only ever uses her power for good though, despite some situations where there has been temptation to use magic to fight those who wish her harm.

Princess Kitty has largely had a charmed life with lots of love and happiness. That was until she met Fatty Flatfoot the wicked witch a few years ago..................................
