Mixed Moments

Princess Kitty has had a strange day. She has been coming down after all the excitement of yesterday. Her feelings are all mixed up.

Growly Bear has gone back to his cave. Princess Kitty feels sad about that because she misses him. People have been telling Princess Kitty how clever she and Growly Bear are. Princess Kitty feels proud about that. It makes Princess Kitty have a nice feeling inside.

Princess Kitty had a nice letter from her step-girl kitten. It made Princess Kitty cry. The letter was a kind letter. Princess Kitty cried because she was happy and sad at the same time. Princess Kitty read the letter to Growly Bear. Growly Bear thought it was a nice letter.

When Princess Kitty has mixed up feelings days like this she thinks about guinea pigs. She thinks that although there are lots of things she doesn't understand about them there are things she has worked out. She knows that everything changes and things always look different in another moment. She knows that when she talks to Growly Bear she will feel better.

She thinks about how to change the moment when she is having sad thoughts. She wonders what Growly Bear would suggest. She knows what Growly Bear would say. He would tell her to make sure she ate properly. So she goes to the shop and buys a nice stir fry and cooks it and eats it. Delicious!

Rock 'n Roll Angels

They did it! Growly Bear and Princess Kitty performed together in public for the first time. They sang and played their guitars together in front of 800 people. Brave Princess Kitty. Brave Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty sang a solo. Then Growly Bear joined in in harmony. Princess Kitty felt the ground beneath her feet and sang with all her heart. She saw all the people looking and listening. She felt scared and excited and tiny and big all at the same time. As she sang she understood the point of guinea pigs. She couldn't explain it. She just felt it in her soul.

Growly Bear says Princess Kitty has the voice of an angel. Kind Growly Bear. Princess Kitty thinks Growly Bear might be an angel. She can't be sure though. She has peeked at his back when he is sleeping to see if she can see where his wings would fit. She couldn't see any marks. Perhaps Growly Bear has a spell to make them invisible.

Peas In A Pod

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are preparing. They have a very big day tomorrow. A very big day indeed. They are going to be performing in public. In front of lots of people.

Princess Kitty says she is feeling scared. She feels like a frightened little guinea pig. Growly Bear says he is not scared at all. Princess Kitty doesn't believe him though. She peeked at him when he thought she wasn't looking and caught a little tremble.

Growly Bear has come to The Cardigan for the night. They have been getting things ready. They put new strings on their guitars. They polished their guitars. They adjusted their straps. Growly Bear has even bought a new capo for the occasion. It is shiny and red. He is very proud of it. Princess Kitty thinks he should avoid using a pink plectrum with it though because the colours clash.

Princess Kitty is going to wear her new blouse. Growly Bear is ironing his ribbon. They will look smart. Everyone will say what a fine couple they make. Like peas in a pod.

Bury or Burn

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty met up on their skateboards today. It was quite cold and the roads were a bit wet so Growly Bear did not do any tricks. Princess Kitty thought this was very sensible.

Growy Bear and Princess Kitty do interesting things when they meet up like this. Today they walked around a graveyard and looked at the stones and wondered about the people whose names were on the stones. Princess Kitty told Growly Bear that she wants to be cremated when she dies. She thinks this is the most dignified way. Growly Bear says he does not really care. It is not something he has thought about. Princess Kitty smiles to herself. 'Just like a guinea pig' she thought. Although he is quite a tame bear most of the time Growly Bear still has his wild side.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty talked a lot. They talked about the difficult things they face in their lives. They can't solve each others problems, they can't live each others lives but they help each other by loving each other.

Princess Kitty loves Growly Bear very much. She thinks he is the most special bear in all the workd. Lovely Growly Bear.

Bear With A Sore Head

Growly Bear has a sore head. Poor Growly Bear. He thinks he has a sore head because he drank too much last night. Princess Kitty thinks he is probably right. Growly Bear is not thinking about guinea pigs today. His head is too sore.

Growly Bear wishes he was feeling better. He wishes in a way that he was with Princess Kitty so that she could look after him and make him feel better. On the other hand if she is feeling lively she might be boisterous and make a lot of noise when he wanted to be quiet.

Growly Bear likes Princess Kitty's livliness most of the times. Sometimes though he wishes she was a bit more subdued, like when they wake up after a night together. Growly Bear likes to wake up very slowly and gently and to cuddle quietly. Princess Kitty is usually wide awake when she wakes up and finds it difficult to stay still. Growly Bear says she is like a jack-in-the-box. He says she is like Tigger.

Princess Kitty likes to tease Growly Bear when he is sleepy like this. She likes to play tricks on him like opening his eye lids to see underneath and stroking him to see if she can make him growl. Naughtly Princess Kitty. Everyone knows it is bad to tease bears.

Princess Kitty decides to be helpful. She sends Growly Bear a text suggesting he drinks some orange juice then takes a long walk in the fresh air. Gowly Bear texts back "Growl".

Funny Old Thing

Growly Bear is at a posh party. It is a party where celebrities go. There will be all sorts of people there. Growly Bear says they are "the great and the good". Princess Kitty wonders if this means they know the point of guinea pigs.

Growly Bear is going to tell Princess Kitty all about it tomorrow. He will tell her what people were wearing. He will tell her about the people he spoke to. He will tell her the funny thoughts he had in his head.

Growly Bear often has funny thoughts. When he tells Princess Kitty about them he makes her laugh. Princess Kitty has funny thoughts too. She thinks about playing tricks and doing spells.

Growly Bear often tells funny stories. Princess Kitty thinks he is good at telling stories. She thinks he is good at finding 20 words to say something which could be said in 5. Princess Kitty likes Growly Bears stories. She likes hearing his funny thoughts. Funny old Growly Bear.

Poppetry

Growly Bear is a poppet. At least that is what Princess Kitty thinks. Princess Kitty thinks he is the kindest sweetest bear she has ever met.

For one thing Growly Bear is always kind. He has always been very kind to Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty knows that she is not the easiest person in the world. Growly Bear says she is complicated. But Growly Bear is always nice to her. He is always patient.

Another thing about Growly Bear that makes him a poppet is his thoughtfulness. He often buys Princess Kitty special little surprises. Princess Kitty loves surprises.

But the very best thing about Growly Bear is his kindness of spirit. He never puts others down. He always sees the potential in everyone and does everything he can to help them fulfil it. He always goes out of his way to tell people what they have done well and inspires them to face more challenges and believe in themselves.

Princess Kitty is sure kindness is a part of the point of guinea pigs. Growly Bear has natural talent when it comes to guinea pigs. He has a deep understanding of these important things. He is just simply a poppet.

A Very Nice Man

Princess Kitty has had an adventure. She has had to be rescued tonight. She was driving through some county lanes taking a short cut to go to a meeting. She ran out of petrol.

It was very dark but Princess Kitty was brave. First she locked all her doors. Then she rang the AA. Then she waited.

The AA man came about 40 minutes later. He had a big yellow van. The van had flashing yellow lights on the top. Princess Kitty thought this was very exciting. The AA man was really friendly. Princess Kitty thought he was a very nice man. A very very nice man. He put some petrol in her little Yaris for her. Princess Kitty said "Thank you".

Princess Kitty likes to be polite. Growly Bear says politeness is important and Princess Kitty agrees. Guinea pigs are not very polite. When you give them food they just eat it. They never squeak to say thank you.

Princess Kitty starts to think about how she will tell Growly Bear about her adventure. She wants him to be proud of her and tell her she was very brave and clever. She knows what Growly Bear will say. First of all he will be worried if Princess Kitty is OK. Then he will tell her all about consequential thinking. Princess Kitty reminds herself to be sure to nod a lot when he tells her about this. But then the worst thing of all will happen....................Growly Bear will tease her.

Princess Kitty does not mind being teased by Growly Bear. In fact she quite likes it. But Princess Kitty also likes to have the upper hand. She will have to think of a cunning plan................

Bossy Boots

Growly Bear has been visiting The Cardigan. He arrived in his little Skoda. His poor battered little Skoda.

Growly Bear has had a difficult day. He has had to boss people about. Growly Bear does not like bossing people about much. He likes to work with people in a way that means they agree things. Sometimes though you have to be in charge. It is the same with guinea pigs. Sometimes it is for their own good.

Princess Kitty tells Growly Bear that he bosses her about. He doesn't really though. Princess Kitty just likes to keep him on his toes. She likes to keep Growly Bear wondering sometimes.

Growly Bear would like Princess Kitty to boss him about more. It is one of his awake dreams. He wants her to boss him about wearing strict clothes and strict glasses. He would like her to punish him if he is naughty.

Princess Kitty thinks that maybe she needs to practise being bossy a little more. She will start tomorrow.

Result!

Princess Kitty has been playing tricks again. Tricks on Growly Bear. She didn't really mean to. It was sort of an accident.

Growly Bear is coming to The Cardigan tomorrow night to stay. Princess Kitty said she would cook him a meal. Growly Bear was quite pleased but a little bit worried too. Sometimes Princess Kitty can cook quite well but sometimes things can go a bit wrong. Growly Bear can never quite be sure what will happen. Unlike guinea pigs Princess Kitty can be a little hard to predict.

Princess Kitty went to the shop to buy the food. She was chatting to Growly Bear on her little Samsung when she arrived at the shop. And then she remembered that she had left her purse behind. Growly Bear said not to worry and that he would do the shopping. So Princess Kitty told him what she was planning to cook. And Growly Bear said that he would eat those things but only if he cooked some of them.

Princess Kitty told Growly Bear that he was very cheeky. What Princess Kitty was really thinking was that now she didn't have to go shopping and she had less cooking to do. Growly Bear felt glad that he could be certain of having a well cooked meal. Princess Kitty thought ............. "Result!"
