Feeling Lucky

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are still together. What lucky little creatures they are.

Today they have both been to work. Growly Bear drove off early in his little Skoda. He read lots of things. He wrote some emails. He made some phone calls. He looked at his calender with pictures of guinea pigs.

And he went shopping. Shopping for clothes. Clothes for Princess Kitty. Brave little bear.

When he took the presents back to The Cardigan Princess Kitty was surprised. Very surprised indeed. Growly Bear had bought lovely things. Things that Princess Kitty likes. Clever little bear.

Princess Kitty felt very special. No-one has ever spoilt her like Growly Bear does. Lucky little cat.

Kitty In My Pocket

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been shopping.

Growly Bear has been spoiling Princess Kitty. Again. He has been buying her little presents.

He bought her a pretty caftan to wear. He bought her some glittery slippers. He bought her a furry jacket. Lucky Princess Kitty.

Princess Kitty likes going shopping with Growly Bear. She likes how interested he is in everything. She likes how he says funny things about what they see. He likes it that he is patient when she wants to look at things.

Going out with Growly Bear always feels like an adventure to Princess Kitty. He has good ideas about places to go and things to do. He is lots of fun to be with. He knows about lots of things and understands things about guinea pigs. Princess Kitty wishes sometimes she was small enough to fit in Growly Bear's pocket so that she could be with him all the time.

Ra Ra Ra

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have had a different sort of day today.

Growly Bear has been teaching Princess Kitty about football recently. And today he took her to see a match.

They woke up early and got themselves ready. Growly Bear packed a picnic. Princess Kitty did her fur. Growly Bear got the car ready. Princess Kitty put some makeup on. Growly Bear planned the route. Princess Kitty polished her sun glasses. Then they set off.

Growly Bear drove Princess Kitty to the football match in his little Skoda. They ate their sandwiches and drank their juice. They were happy because the team they went to see won the match. Hooray!

On the way home they talked about the point of guinea pigs.They chatted about what a nice day they had had. They pondered on all the things they had seen.

When they got home they were very tired. They made just a little sweet honey then fell asleep in each others paws.

Mr Fix-It

Princess Kitty is having a nice time at Growly Bear's cave. She is being very well looked after.

This afternoon Growly Bear showed Princess Kitty something special. Something very special indeed.

Growly Bear showed Princess Kitty his shed.

Growly Bear is very proud of his shed. Very proud indeed. He keeps it very neat and tidy. He has made special shelves to keep his things on. And all his tools are hung up on little nails.

Some people keep their guinea pigs in sheds. Not Growly Bear though. His shed is his special place for fixing things. If something needs fixing Growly Bear takes it off to his shed. He works out which of his tools he needs to fix it. And he fixes it. Clever Growly Bear.

Heaven On Earth

Princess Kitty is on a little holiday. Again. She is Growly Bear's cave. Lucky Princess.

She is lucky because when she goes to Growly Bear's cave he spoils her. She is looking forward to porridge in the morning. She is looking forward to nice food. She is looking forward to playing and singing and talking about the point of guinea pigs. And best of all she is looking forward to some wonderful honey.

Growly Bear has been busy. He has been busy getting ready for Princess Kitty. He has put clean sheets on the bed. He has put pretty lights on. He has warmed up the water so that Princess Kitty can have a nice shower.

I think those two little creatures are in for a nice few days. Don't you?

Making Plans

Today has been a day full of work for Princess Kitty and Growly Bear.

Growly Bear has had some meetings. He has been working out a plan to deal with a difficult person and started to follow it. He has written reports and talked to people on the telephone. He has considered the point of guinea pigs. And he has been working as hard as he can to make bad bears better.

Princess Kitty has had meetings too. This morning's meeting was to meet people who might be able to help her in her work. This afternoon she had a meeting with people she works with. And they disagreed with her.

Princess Kitty found that quite difficult. She gets confused when people don't agree and starts to doubt herself. She finds it hard to think on the spot. She likes time to think things through.

Princess Kitty knows that this is something she needs to get better at. She knows she needs to learn to trust her judgement more. She knows she needs to remember that difficult feelings don't last forever.

She decides to make a plan to get better at it. She will ask Growly Bear to help her. He is good at making plans.

Ssshhh Don't Tell

Growly Bear is having a quiet night in. The bear he lives with has gone out for the evening.

Growly Bear likes having time to himself sometimes. He likes having time to think about things. He likes watching videos on Google Video. He likes making himself something nice to eat. And he likes dreaming about Princess Kitty.

Growly Bear has been thinking about some of Princess Kitty's funny ways tonight. Like the way she becomes inspired by an idea and then learns as much as she can about it. Like the way she keeps trying to work out the point of guinea pigs. He likes the way she loves to cuddle him and snuggle up to him.

And he likes the way that Princess Kitty plays tricks on him. But ssshhh - don't tell Princess Kitty.

He's It

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty met up after work today.

They went for a ride in Growly Bear's little Skoda. Growly Bear treated Princess Kitty to a lovely tea. And then they drove some more in the little Skoda.

They talked all evening. They told stories. Princess Kitty told him about her work. Growly Bear told her tales of life in the Fatty Flatfoot empire. They played humming adverts for the other one to guess. They teased each other about the point of guinea pigs. And they played "It"

Growly Bear thinks he is very good at "It". He has told Princess Kitty that he can never be beaten at "It". But Princess Kitty can be as cunning as a fox. She makes Growly Bear "It" when he is not looking. Then he is "It" for ages until she tells him and he makes her "It" again.

When it was time to go Growly Bear and Princess Kitty kissed. They rubbed noses. They cuddled up. And then just as they were leaving, Princess Kitty made Growly Bear "It". Secretly.

Keep It Clean

Growly Bear has had a busy day. Doing one of the things Growly Bear does best. Fixing things

He has fixed his skateboard. Clever Growy Bear.

Growly Bear got quite grubby fixing his skateboard. When he had finished he had a shower. He washed behind his furry little ears. He washed his little paws. He scrubbed his little face.

Then he rubbed some cream in. Some cream to keep his fur nice and soft and shiny. Like a guinea pig going to a show.

What a smart bear.

Princess Kitty has spent the day with her girl kitten. They went shopping. It is her girl kitten's birthday soon. So they went to buy her some clothes.

Princess Kitty loves to see her girl kitten. She loves to look at how beautiful she is. She loves to see what a clever and talented and kind young cat she has grown into.

A beautiful kitten and a clean bear. What more could Princess Kitty want.

Something For The Weekend

It is the weekend.

Growly Bear likes weekends. He likes them because he does not have to slave in Fatty Flatfoot's empire. He likes them because he gets to do special weekend jobs. Jobs such as mowing the lawn, shopping and cooking.

This weekend Growly Bear is trying to fix his skateboard. His skateboard is not working properly. All the petrol keeps leaking out. Poor Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty likes weekends too. She likes them because she can get up a bit later. She likes them because she can see her family and spend time with them. She does weekend jobs too like tidying The Cardigan.

But the best part about weekends for Growly Bear and Princess Kitty is that they sometimes get to see each other. This weekend though they are concentrating on their weekend jobs. So they have to talk to each other in other ways. Like text and phone and email and MSN.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty like to stay in touch with each other in these ways. Staying in touch with each other is important. Especially when they are missing each other. It is an important part of the point of guinea pigs.

Staying in touch is how Princess Kitty and Growly Bear comfort themselves when they are apart and missing each other. Poor little creatures.
