Count Your Blessings

It's New Year's Eve. Princess Kitty is feeling very reflective. She has had a nice day with people she loves. She has chatted to Growly Bear. He was a bit distracted because he was shopping. Shopping for food. Looking at the exciting packages and boxes always makes him a bit distracted.
Princess Kitty still felt all warm after talking to him. She purred all afternoon.

Princess Kitty has been counting her blessings. She has been thinking about all the wonderful people she knows and has in her life. She has been thinking how wonderful it is to really understand love. She has been thinking how wonderful Growly Bear is.

Princess Kitty is feeling very spiritual. She understands the point of guinea pigs tonight - at least for a few hours. She is going to reach out to Growly Bear at midnight. He is going to feel her touch on him. He is going to experience her warmth and taste her love for him. He is going to smell her sweet smell and feel her purr against his skin.

Renegade Den

Growly Bear has had a busy day . He had some chores to do. He had to clean the floors at his cave. In between he played his guitar and watched football.

Princess Kitty has been busy too. She has started house hunting. She is looking for a home of her own to replace The Cardigan, which is only borrowed. She has s0me pictures of houses for sale and some writing about them. Today she has been driving around in her little Yaris finding out where they are and seeing if she would like to find out more.

Princess Kitty feels a bit strange looking for a home. She has never done such a thing before. She knows that she is choosing a special place for her and Growly Bear. It feels like a big responsibility. Princess Kitty reminds herself that responsibility is a part of growing up. She reminds herself that responsibility comes with guinea pigs.

Princess Kitty hopes she can find the right place. Somewhere she can call home and Growly Bear will like. It will be their renegade den.

Wonderful Day

Princess Kitty has had a wonderful day. A most amazing day. Growly Bear came to visit. Growly Bear's visits are always wonderful but today's was outstanding. He was the funniest and the kindest and the softest she has ever seen him. She felt so full of love for him she could have popped.

Another wonderful thing that happened today was that Princess Kitty's step girl kitten had a baby. It is a baby girl. Princess Kitty knows that her step girl kitten will be happy. She knows she wanted a little girl to be a little sister for the lovely little boy she has. Princess Kitty purrs with happiness for her step girl kitten and her family.

Princess Kitty thinks she has been lucky with her life so far. She has lots of love in it and a beautiful family and kind friends. Today though was definitely up there with those she will remember for the rest of her life.

Tricks and Stunts

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have been window shopping. That does not mean they were looking for windows. Window shopping can be an important way to find out more about guinea pigs, especially when it is done together.

Today Princess Kitty and Growly Bear were looking at guitars. Electric guitars. Princess Kitty likes sexy colourful ones with pointy bits at the front. Growly Bear likes a more classic look. He especially likes ones with a wood effect.

Growly Bear already has an electric guitar. It is a Fender Stratocaster. Princess Kitty has not really heard him play it properly. He says he can do tricks and stunts on it. Princess Kitty thinks this sounds very impressive. Growly Bear says his tricks and stunts are not as good as his boy cub's though. Growly Bear says his boy cub can wring a guitar's neck. Princess Kitty thinks this sounds rather cruel and not something a vegetarian should approve of.

Growly Bear can do other tricks and stunts. He showed Princess Kitty a trick he could do with the new lighter she bought him. Princess Kitty thought his trick was quite good but that he probably needs to practise it a bit more. She did not tell Growly Bear this though as she thought it might hurt his feelings. Instead she opened her eyes wide and said "Wow!".

Super Duper Day

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty have had a super duper day. That is Growly Bear's new word for when something is nice. Princess Kitty giggled into her paw when he first said it. She thinks it is one of the funniest thing he has ever said. Silly Growly Bear.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty shared presents. Then they made some special Christmas honey. Princess Kitty really got stuck in. Growly Bear says you can't make good honey without getting your paws dirty. Princess Kitty agrees. She is getting to like that nice sticky feeling.

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty talked a lot today too. They talked about their love. They talked about music. They even talked a bit about the point of guinea pigs.

Princess Kitty bought Growly Bear a Beano annual. Growly Bear likes the Beano. He especially likes the Bash Street Kids. He likes reading about all those rough boys fighting. He thinks the Beano is super duper.

Beacon Of Hope

Growly Bear and Princess Kitty are excited. Very excited indeed. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear are going to have their renegade Christmas tomorrow. They know that for a few hours they will be in their own special world. They know too that they must return to reality and their search for the point of guinea pigs afterwards. For now though they are just looking forward to their time together.

Growly Bear will get up early and jump in his car. He has a borrowed car because his own little Skoda is not working. His borrowed car is orange. Growly Bear does not like it very much. Princess Kitty thinks he will look like a beacon coming out of the darkness to her. She thinks that will be a very welcome sight.

Princess Kitty will get up early and get The Cardigan ready. She will trim her fur and choose some nice clothes to wear. Then she will wait for Growly Bear. Waiting always seems such a long time. When Growly Bear arrives she will give him the most special cuddle in all the world.

Christmas Adventures

Growly Bear has had a Christmas adventure. Not a nice adventure though. Poor Growly Bear. His little Skoda broke down on the way to Christmas lunch at Mummy Bear's house. He and the bear he lives with and his two cubs were in the car. By the time they were rescued they were all very cold. Even Growly Bear's furriness wasn't enough to keep him warm. Poor poor Growly Bear.

Princess Kitty has had a nice day mostly. She awoke to two sweet and loving texts from Growly Bear. She made herself a nice breakfast of toast and her favourite butter made from goat's milk. She opened her six little presents under her pink tree. Her brother came round to see her and she had another present. She practised on her guitar. She is learning to play the introduction to "Michelle". Then she went out for a long walk with her friend, Chuckles. Chuckles is one of Princess Kitty's special friends. He has always been kind to her and they like to play tricks together sometimes. They like to make special trick drinks. They like making drinks that surprise people. Chuckles gave Princess Kitty some more presents. Princess Kitty gave Chuckles a book. The book had some information about the point of guinea pigs.

As for Growly Bear, although he had a bad start to his day, things got better when he got to Mummy Bear's house. He has not had chance to talk to Princess Kitty but he is looking forward to telling her all about it. Princess Kitty hopes this will be very soon.

Relax And Chill

It's Christmas Eve. Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have been making their last minute preparations. Princess Kitty went shopping to buy some food. She hopes she won't need to go again for a few days. Growly Bear has been wrapping his presents. He has some special presents for Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty has some special presents for Growly Bear. She wonders who will give the funniest present. She thinks some of the ones she has for Growly Bear will make him laugh.

Princess Kitty has had a nicer day today. It started well with a lovely chat to Growly Bear on MSN. Her girl kitten came over for lunch and stayed and chatted. They talked about all sorts - from girlie stuff to guinea pigs. Then Princess Kitty saw her brother and then she went to visit some friends.

Growly Bear is starting to relax a bit too. He has been working hard and is finding it hard to unwind. And he is missing Princess Kitty. Princess Kitty hopes he will enjoy his time with his family. It is important time to strengthen his relationships and show his love to stand them in good stead for a difficult road ahead.

Growly Bear goes to sleep thinking about Princess Kitty. He is wondering if she is OK on her own at the Cardigan. He thinks she probably is. Princess Kitty looks around The Cardigan. She looks at her pink tree and thinks about how happy she is and how much she loves Growly Bear. She purrs quietly.

Countdown to Christmas

Princess Kitty has had a difficult day. It is nearly Christmas. She will be spending Christmas on her own. She knows this will not be easy but understands why it has to be this way. She knows she must be brave and believe there is a point to guinea pigs, even if she does not know what that is.

Princess Kitty's kittens will be spending Christmas with their dad. They live with him at the big house Princess Kitty left behind. They love Princess Kitty but they don't understand her new life. Princess Kitty knows it will take time for them to heal and forgive her for leaving.

Growly Bear is finding things difficult too. He will be spending Christmas with his family. He is looking forward to this but misses Princess Kitty. He wishes he could have the best of both worlds but knows he can't.

Growly Bear is going to visit Princess Kitty at the Cardigan after Christmas. They are going to have a renegade Christmas. Princess Kitty has made a special advent calender. One which counts down to their renegade Christmas. Only 86 hours left to go.

Rosy Glow

Growly Bear is feeling quite growly today. Like guinea pigs have their squeaks, Growly Bear has different growls for different occasions. He has a soft warm growl for when Princess Kitty is stroking his tummy. He has an excited growl for when they are making honey. He has a silent growl for when he is with Fatty Flatfoot. He knows it would be dangerous to let her see his growliness.

Today's growls are grumpy growls. Growly Bear is Christmas shopping. Growly Bear does not like Christmas shopping. He does not like Christmas shopping at all. He hates all the other animals pushing him about and he hates having to queue.

The only shopping Growly Bear likes is food shopping. He wishes he could buy everyone a nice salad for Christmas. He thinks they might not understand though.

Princess Kitty has been getting herself ready for Christmas too. She has bought herself a special treat. She has bought herself a Christmas tree. She is very proud of it. It is pink. Very pink indeed.

Princess Kitty thinks it is very beautiful and tasteful. She can't wait to show Growly Bear.
