Don't Worry Be Happy

Growly Bear has had a nice day. He has still got a nice feeling inside from seeing Princess Kitty yesterday.

Growly Bear was happy when he talked to Princess Kitty in the morning. He was happy when they sent each other texts. He was happy when he wrote about the point of guinea pigs. And he was happy when he spoke to Princess Kitty again.

When Growly Bear got back to his cave he found he had something. He had an email. An email from Princess Kitty. It was a very serious email. Princess Kitty told him what she thought about her bad behaviour towards him last week. She told him about what she needed from him. And she told him how much she loved him.

Growly Bear was not surprised by the email. He knew that Princess Kitty must have thought hard about the things that she wrote. He knew she might be worried about how he would feel about it. And he knew why he loves her.

The Healing Taste Of Honey

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have made up.

They met up on their skateboards today. They had lunch together which was lovely. There were a few tense moments but even so they loved every moment. They talked about things in the news. They told a few jokes. They discussed the point of guinea pigs.

Then they went back to The Cardigan. Growly Bear had come prepared. He had come prepared with the finest ingredients to make the finest honey. It was a special kind of honey. A kind Princess Kitty had never tasted before. A special healing honey.

Princess Kitty loved it. Every single drop of it. She had never tasted anything so wonderful.

She thought about how difficult things had been for them both over the last few days. She thought about how the hurt they had given each other had been healed in her. She hopes it was the same for Growly Bear too. She hopes he found some peace in their love.

She texted Growly Bear when he got back to his cave. She told him she loved him and hoped he had a nice day.

Growly Bear texted back. Growl!

Always Do Your Best

Growly Bear is a bit happier today. It is Easter. Some of his family are visiting. His cubs are visiting. He has been busy cooking for them.

Growly Bear loves to cook for other people. He loves to make them happy by eating something nice. He always tried to do the best he can when he is cooking.

Princess Kitty has been out on her skateboard today. On her own. Brave Princess Kitty. She went a long way. She went for over 200 miles. Daring little cat.

Princess Kitty wonders if being daring is a point of guinea pigs. Growly Bear thinks it probably has something to do with always doing your best.

Princess Kitty thinks it is important to do your best too. Like when she nearly ran out of petrol today because she had not planned ahead. She had not done her best. Oh dear Princess Kitty.

Princess Kitty decides she will turn over a new leaf. From tororrow she will always try to do her best.

I Can See Clearly Now

Princess Kitty is feeling better today. The sun is out. The sky is blue. She can see clearly.

Growly Bear is not feeling much better. He has a little knot above his left eye. A knot of worry. So he did what Growly Bear does at such times. He kept busy. He mowed the lawns. He had a shower. He went to an art gallery. He went to a pub. He met up with friends. He didn't stop thinking about Princess Kitty though. He didn't stop wondering what this all means when you try to apply it to guinea pigs.

Growly Bear is coming to see Princess Kitty the day after tomorrow. He might be coming to The Cardigan. Princess Kitty wonders what it will be like. She wonders if it will be difficult. She wants to cuddle Growly Bear again but right now she can't imagine what that will be like.

Maybe she can't see as clearly as she thought.

The Morning After The Night Before

Growly Bear has a headache. So has Princess Kitty. Growly Bear has a stiff neck. Princess Kitty feels hot and tearful.

It has not been a good day for either of them. Growly Bear has done what Growly Bear does when he is upset or worried. He has got on with things. He went shopping. He did some cooking. He was pleased to get things done. But he worried about Princess Kitty. And he worried about his life.

Princess Kitty couldn't face the world today. She hid away. She slept. She cried. She just wanted to feel better. She felt horrible inside and out.

Poor Princess Kitty. Poor Growly Bear. What a sorry state of affairs

Ouch!

Princess Kitty and Growly Bear have had a falling out, Ouch!

Perhaps falling out not quite the right way to describe it. But words were spoken. Words that hurt them both.

The tensions have been rising for a while. Growly Bear has been struggling. He knows he loves Princess Kitty. He wants to be with her all the time but to do that he has to change his life completely, He has to hurt other people. He has to 'crash his life' as he calls it. And he is frightened. He is frightened he will be left on his own. He is frightenend that Princess Kitty will change her mind one day and not want him any more.

Princess Kitty has been feeling more and more lonely and frightened. Things are difficult in her world. She can't talk to anyone properly about Growly Bear. They just wouldn't understand. They just warn her that she is going to be hurt. Badly hurt. And sometimes Princess Kitty finds it hard not to wonder if they are right. She finds it hard to hold on to her faith. Her belief in magic. Her belief that she will find out the point of guinea pigs. Her belief that love will conquer all.

They had a hug at the end of it all. But then they had to go their own ways. Growly Bear back to his cave. Princess Kitty back to The Cardigan. They both felt calm but shocked and sad.

Ouch!

Wakey Wakey

Growly Bear had a restless night. He stayed up quite late then curled up to sleep. After a little while he woke up. He got himself a little drink and then tried to go to sleep.

But he couldn't. He thought about what he was thinking about. He wasn't really thinking about anything. He thought about what he was feeling. He was feeling OK. He wondered if he had been dreaming about the point of guinea pigs. He turned over again.

Then Growly Bear went off to sleep at last. The next thing he heard was the sound of angels. He woke up slowly. It was the alarm on his little Nokia.

Princess Kitty was woken up by her alarm too. The alarm on Princess Kitty's little Samsung is funky. Very funky indeed. It is so funky it makes her wake up. And get up. And get ready. Ready for her day.

When Growly Bear comes to stay he sets his little Nokia alarm. And Princess Kitty sets her little Samsung alarm. Growly Bear does not like Princess Kitty's alarm and Princess Kitty does not like Growly Bear's alarm.

Growly Bear says one morning he is going to put Princess Kitty's down the toilet. Bad Growly Bear. Princess Kitty says she doesn't think that will be happening.

I think she is right.

Tomorrow Is Another Day

Princess Kitty is a bit poorly. Not very poorly. Just a bit. Poor Princess Kitty.

Princess Kitty has sore ears. Her ears are itchy and tender. Her face is a bit sore too. Perhaps she has a little bug. Poor Princess Kitty.

Growly Bear is not feeling poorly. But he is feeling a bit tired. And he is worried about Princess Kitty. He is sad to think of her feeling poorly with no one to cuddle her. He is sad to think of her feeling lonely. He is sad to think she has no one to talk to about guinea pigs.

Growly Bear tried to cheer Princess Kitty up by talking to her on MSN. He told her that he loves her. He tried to tell her some jokes. But Princess Kitty carried on feeling poorly.

Never mind said Growly Bear. Tomorrow is another day.

Once And For All Time

Princess Kitty is in control. She has had a good day at work today. She had a little list of things she needed to do. And she did them all. She ticked them all off. And some extra ones.

Growly Bear is not in control. Or at least he doesn't feel as if he is. His life is spinning around and perfectly still all at the same time.

It feels like that feeling before a thunderstorm. When the electricity is building. When everything in the world is familiar yet not right. When you feel as if something is about to happen yet you cannot make it start. When you feel the pressure of a prison yet the vulnerability of open space.

Guinea pigs are scared of thunderstorms. They make them squeak. Growly Bear doesn't like thunderstorms either. It makes him growl. Not on the outside but on the inside. So no-one can hear him. Keeping the growl in makes him hurt more.

Princess Kitty does not like to think of Growly Bear hurting. She would like to help make him better. She would like to get that growl out of him. Once and for all time.

Grubby Paws

Growly Bear has been out on his skateboard today. He has been out doing tricks and stunts.

First Growly Bear had to fix his skateboard because it has not been working properly. Growly Bear likes fixing things. He likes to get his paws dirty. He likes to smell of engine oil. He thinks it makes him seem more bear-like. Growl!

Princess Kitty does not like fixing things. She does not like it at all. She especially does not like getting her paws dirty. She thinks this is probably because she is made for better things. But she does like to watch Growly Bear fix things. She thinks he is very clever.

Princess Kitty wonders if you have to get your paws dirty to understand the point of guinea pigs. She hopes not.

Growly Bear did not show Princess Kitty any of his tricks and stunts today. But he did tell her about some of them. Princess Kitty told him to be careful. Growly Bear showed her his grubby paws, puffed out his chest and said "Growl"
